House of Blues Gospel Brunch

AMAZING!!! We did this back in 2010 and the food was so good and the singing was outstanding. I cant wait to go again, because it was worth it:thumbsup2

We went several years ago and it was outstanding. Our last experience, in January, was not great, because of our seats. Make sure you get a table in front of the stage. The sight lines from the side tables are horrible and we could only see one backup singer. HOB gave us a full refund, though. The buffet is excellent, but make sure and get everything you want to try right at the start. They don't refill anything close to the show and I missed a chance to try the catfish!

I've been twice.

Was there this past NOV2012.

LOVE IT!!

The show is fun and the food is good!!

My Fav's are the omelet station, the peel and eat shrimp and the cornbread.

I give it a :thumbsup2

NOTE: This is a true Gospel Luncheon, this is not a
rock-and-roll fest. If you enjoy good Gospel music, this
is hard to beat. It is well planned and well staged. The
food is above average and good comfort food on the
buffet. The only bad part is that there are some "wing"
seats that have little to no view.

We are also interested in going on our upcoming trip in March. This was the 1st and only House of Blues thread that I found, so I hope you don't mind me asking here?
I purchased 2 GC from Restaurant.com (they are available right now) and it did not mention only being able to use ONE until AFTER I purchased. How picky are they with this? I had obviously wanted to use both of them to pay for our 3 tickets to the Gospel Brunch. Kind of peeved that they didn't mention this on the terms before purchase. My only saving grace (pardon the pun) is that the GC's do not expire.
Anyone have any knowledge/advice? Thank you.

. . . nope

able to use ONE until AFTER I purchased. How picky are they with this?
. . . very "picky"
. . . to honor more than one cert at a time would make them lose money
. . . thus, eateries take only one cert per table
. . . this applies to all of their certs

I had obviously wanted to use both of them to pay for our 3 tickets to the Gospel Brunch.
. . . can't use them during same visit, as mentioned
. . . plus, I thought they could not be used for the Gospel Lunch
. . . of course, these rules might have changed
. . . the lunch fills up regularly
. . . they usually do not a promotion to get customers for Gospel Lunch

Kind of peeved that they didn't mention this on the terms before purchase.
. . . these are clearly stated under "Terms" on the "Home" page of the site *

Anyone have any knowledge/advice?
. . . just be prepared to pay regular price

* Per website Home Page under Terms: "Only one (1) Restaurant- Specific Certificate may be
redeemed per party, per month, per Issuer (even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or
receives more than one check.)."

The last time I checked (which I admit was about a year ago), the Restaurant.com certificates specifically said they could not be used for the Brunch. We just used ours to eat dinner one night.

They have always had the policy that a restaurant would accept one no more than once a month.

EDITED: Well I just went to the site and acted like I was going to purchase another one and nothing was said about not being able to use it for the Brunch. I swear when we bought one last year, that over on the right hand side, where it has the prices of the certificates, it stated the certificate could not be used for the Gospel Brunch.

We did the 10:30 and it was fantastic. Got out around 12:00. There was such a great variety of food, plenty of it and the entertainment was great. Would highly recommend it!

I asked this same question on the budget board with no response. I am familiar with the older certificates that specifically stated it could not be used for the gospel brunch (you are correct) and now after buying one last month noticed that same stipulation was not there. Makes me wonder if I can use it for that???I was hoping someone could give me an answer if they were allowed to use a restaurant.com certificate for the Gospel Brunch recently.

Thanks I read a different one today that was less then a week old. That said u couldnt usexit also. Thanks again.

1) Yep.
2) Discounts are used to get people into an eatery.
3) Gospel Lunch is always busy, so no need to discount it.
4) The restaurant, however, is a different matter.
5) They need all the help they can muster to get enough patrons.
6) Especially after the lastest menu changes by Aaron Sanchez.
7) Or, there would be no need for up to 50% discounts.
