Friends and Family Discount

Does anyone know if it was 40% or 50% F and F discount offered the week of January 4th this past year?
Thanks!!

Does a cm know if store cms are no longer allowed to book friends discount i was told its on family discount no longer family and friends for store employees

Is the cancellation policy for a F&F Other Guest Bedroom discount the same as a Disney room only booked by a guest - 5 days prior for full refund of 1-nt deposit?

I apologize if I missed this info that was posted previously!

We are planning a trip to Disney April 5-10th. I emailed a friend who works at Disney to see if we could possibly stop to say hello and she offered her F&F discount. Wow!

She said she would book the room for us and we would pay the balance when we arrive. She seems to be aware that she has to stop by and show her ID.

She seemed to think she could buy 5 day park tickets for the five of us but would have to purchase them on her credit card. Is it true that she can get the F&F discount for five people for five days? And once the tickets are purchased can we link them to my MDE account and set up Fast Passes ahead of time? Would we still be eligible for Magic Bands? (We're staying in Art of Animation)

The discount is great but the details are making me a little nervous!

Thank you so much!

Sorry... one more question... she said she can do this an unlimited number of times. Is it still the case that she can actually only do this four times a year? Sounds like unlimited is only if she is accompanying the guest in the park. She will not be with us during our stay.

I had checked last November on tickets purchased through my daughter's cast member id. The ticket sale info sheet only goes to 5 days. We were told that was the max. Tickets are not a huge discount. The difference was about $33 for 5 days. And we did not purchase the park hopper. Mind you, for 5 people that would make a difference.

My daughter had to go purchase the ticket with her discount and we were staying on site at All Stars. We did not bother linking them to our magic bands but I suppose front desk can help you with that.

With reservations, the cast member does have to show ID prior to check in and the balance is paid when the guest is checking in.

Thank you! Yes, it does seem like the biggest discount is for the room, but any discount is appreciated! :-)

I can't help with tickets, but it looks like someone with knowledge of them answered above.

As far as limitations, F&F discounts DO have limited amounts per year so I would make sure that is what she's booking for you so there aren't any snags in your reservation.

At this time, I do not believe CM tickets are able to be linked to MDE - but that may be different than what your friend is getting you. If she's just getting you regular tickets at a discount then I don't see the problem with linking those.

You'll get magic bands for staying on property regardless of tickets. If you can't link the tickets the only difference will be that you can not schedule your FP+ at 60 days out.

How do you get Chase to send Disney Visa Email Offers?

You'd need to talk to Chase.

That's not what the discounts in this thread are. They also put them on their website.

ETA: nvmnd looks like you posted in every thread about this?!?!

Wondered if anyone could offer some insight. F&F discount will be offered from another fellow buckeye. We are traveling in June (likely arrive 8th) for 5 days/6nights. Wanting to stay at Pop Century, is information available on discounts at this point for travel then and how far in advanced is lead time on the availability of QSDP discount.
Thanks in advance!

I'd check with your friend if Pop is available with the discount at the time you are going. It just depends on availability. The earlier you can book the better chance you have. I know in the past I've waited too long to ask my friend and my first choice hasn't been available. Can't help with the dining discount availability for June. I need to call in myself to see if its available yet for our June stay. But the cast member is staying in the room with us so its different.

June just has the regular F&F discount with a full price dining plan as of now. No one really gets advanced notice of a deeper room/dining discount or whether it will be offered.

It's currently out through mid April.

I'm not sure if someone here can help me.

I currently have a 40% F&F discount for 4/26-5/3. I was trying to change resorts. There is currently nothing available at our resort choice, which is ok.

When I callled to check today, the CM was very helpful and looked and looked but didn't find anything again. BUT, then she says to keep calling back because they may be offering a 50% off discount with a discounted dining plan. Does anyone know what this might mean? I just wanted to crunch numbers to see if it was a good deal for us if it's offered and if I get it. (I'm more concerned whether or not the dining plan part is a good deal. We currently do not have it, but if the numbers work out in our favor, we may add it.)

Thank you for any information anyone has.

It's basically just what it sounds like. As dates get closer sometimes WDW releases a 50% F&F discount with a discounted dining plan. You can use the room discount without the dining plan, it's just based on availability.

Ahh, ok. I wasn't sure if I HAD to get the dining plan to use the discount. Thank you for your reply. I have been calling every day to check on the availability at the other resort, so I will be sure to continue calling. And the CM I spoke to today told me to make sure I asked the CM I talked to each day to look for the other discounts. Don't just take "no" for an answer with that one discount, until they check for other discounts.

Thanks again.

Apologize if this is already answered, it has been very hard to make contact and get the reservation from CM buddy. If I go ahead and make a reservation that we want (June @ POP), and then once he can make reservation, change to F&F disc. or would I just cancel the res. and rebook with him doing it? Thanks again.

We have gotten the dining plan last two times visiting, which were also our first times staying at resort. For us it makes sense, the hassle of paying is gone, you walk up order, scan room key/magic band and done. If you order the most expensive things on the menu, you will save money. If you are the type to eat cheap, it may not make sense for you.
