I've read that once you use your fastpass+ passes you can go to a kiosk and book three more while in the park. This has gotten me curious and I have a couple of questions for those that are more knowledgeable then I am about this.

We will be at disney on friday and it will be our first trip we will really be using fastpass+. our last trips were in september and fairly low crowd december and we didn't need fastpasses and I also think they had the paper ones then. This trip will clearly be a higher crowd time and no paper fastpass option.

anyone done any of this or know it can or can't be done?

1. can i actually use my fastpass+ and then book 3 more at a kiosk?
2. if so must it be the same park?
3. do all have to be gone in order for me to do that? in other words...say i want to book something right now and the only available time is 4pm. if i have something at 10am and 11am could i use those, go to a kiosk and book two more things and then go back to my resort coming back around 4 to do some more rides? or do i have to use all before booking more?
4. do i have to use the kiosks or can i use my phone or even laptop back in the room to book additional passes?

thanks a million to anyone who can help me out here :) also sorry if I'm asking silly questions i should know the answer to. still appreciate any help!

The way we had to do it was we booked our 3 in advance.. Then if we wanted to book more at a kiosk we had to substitute one of ours for the day for the new one we wanted. Not sure if that has changed since I've been.
2. if so must it be the same park?
Not too sure on this one. My family and I stayed in the park most of the day. I have my Annual Pass and hopped parks, but didn't need a fastpass.

Like I said before, we were told that we had to substitute one for another so I don't think you'll have to use all 3 to book another.
4. do i have to use the kiosks or can i use my phone or even laptop back in the room to book additional passes?
You can use your phone or laptop on the My Disney Experience page. This is a big thing we used. In addition, we found out that some of the guys at the kiosk had separate times available and helped us with those that weren't on the app.

Have a safe trip! I'm sorry I couldn't answer your questions fully, but that's just what happened on our trip :) Maybe it has changed a little since we went :)

okay good to know. this is pretty much how i understood the system but then I thought I'd read some different things on here recently (can't link or be all that more specific) just read in passing and only thought about if as our trip gets closer.

thanks for your help. I'll see what its like this week and will share anything of interest i learn :)

you have to use all three at the same park. they can be moved around if you do it before the time start. I moved my time around throughout the day for the fast pass also changed the rides to if the wait time was not long for the fast pass I had. It would be really nice if Disney would let you split them between parks, kinda sucks when you have the hopper.

well i was wondering if you can book 3 more after using your 3 on the day of your visit either same park or not. i thought i'd read that you could at least in the same park but i guess not. I too would like to see a little more flexibility here. I suppose a hopper is still nice if you want to do dinner in another park but theres not much of a chance i'm going to head into a 2nd park mid day when crowd level is 7 or 8 with no fastpass access. we have ap's and as far as i know we can't save money and not do fastpass otherwise i would have considered it.

The way the new fastpass+ works is you can book 3 rides at one time. Once the time is up on the last ride you can book 3 more. The 3 rides you book have to be at the same park. But once you finish with those 3, you can book another 3 at another park.

From reports I have read, booking additional FP+ once your 3 are done is an exception to the rule. Right now rules state 3 in one park and tiers apply in Epcot and HS. I have read some folks have been able to book more, but I would not count on being able to do this.

From what I've read, they did some limited testing with additional fastpasses but it has not been rolled out.

Nope. Three per day is it. All in the same park. At one time there was a "glitch" that allowed you to have more through the MDE app but they fixed that quickly. Go check out the thread FP+. It'll give you alot of current up to date info. We've had our MBs & the MDE app since October & haven't been able to do more than 3 in the same park on the same day.

I agree. Anything outside the stated rules is simply a glitch. That being said, the program is still in Beta testing. As a result, the rules that we know are likely to change several more times.

For all of the complaints associated with fastpass+, I think it's important to remember that this is a free benefit included with park admission. Nearly every other amusement park I know of requires a fee for expedited ride entrance. I'm not suggesting there aren't problems with the current setup or that there isn't an adjustment from the old method, I'd just like to point out that there are going to be some growing pains.

We were not able to do this last month. Only tried once.
