A rabbi, a priest, and a pastor board the Wonder: we're back!

Good. I AM getting to know you. I was going to say, I don't think she likes either. I know this only because I think you're weird since those are two of my favorite flavors! :rotfl2: Just kidding on the weird. :joker:

I knew you'd say that.

I love that you both already knew that! :goodvibes

I would never judge what you eat. I promise. I'm far too worried about my calories to worry about yours. :rotfl2: On vacation, I eat and drink EVERYTHING and a lot of it. :lovestruc

Thank you

Really? I love it. But it also takes a lot to offend or embarrass me.

I absolutely love singing, but I have horrible stage freight.

Me either. We can be the comfy casual table. :cool1:

Cool :)

:dumbo: 20 Days!!!! :dumbo:

:woohoo: Amazing! We're so close. Our FB group is setting up a private mixology/tasting. Are you interested? If so, I'll add you. Not sure what day but I'll keep you posted here.

It's been a crazy fun filled, calorie laden weekend.

Thank you for the bday wishes Pam and Cynthia. :)

:goofy: 19 days!!! :goofy:

My plans to pack combusted. Too many fun birthday plans to get it all done. I'm thinking of holding off for now as we're going to Vegas for soccer and I hoping I need flip flops and shorts. A girl can dream right? The FEs are all packed though which gives me some sort of accomplishment.

Yay for finishing your FEs! Now that we have formed this last minute group I am in scramble mode trying to figure it out. Lol. I have SO much packing to do! If it were only DH and I it wouldn't be a big deal but I have to pack all the kids for their trip with their grandparents as well. I even have to pack for the dog. I will be exhausted by the time we leave for Florida. Less than three weeks now!

We're so close! :hyper: I'm generally in the same boat you are with regard to packing but because it'll be just DS and myself, I've got lots less stress. But I've guilt just taking DS. It is his bar mitzvah gift and the girls had wonderful gifts as well but it's hard not to feel some form of sadness that they won't be there too. The rationale side of me knows better but the mommy side doesn't. ;)

:goodvibes With just you and your DH, you'll get some wonderful downtime. I hope our mixology class comes to fruition. :thumbsup2 Have you got anything else planned?

Just the thought has me laughing, I'm picturing myself getting tipsy and thats a funny thought. Sure, that would be fun.

Glad you had a fabulous birthday weekend! :)

Excellent. :thumbsup2 I'll add you. I need your reservation number and cabin though. If you check our meet thread, Ivy, is cruising concierge and handling the logistics. :woohoo: Super cool, she's renewing her vows in Cozumel. I wish you had Facebook. :flower3:

As long as we're not tasting tequila or gin, I'll be good. Can't drink either. Bleh!

Fun birthday plans are the best reason not to pack!

I hope you'll need those warm weather things in Las Vegas :)

Thanks so much :) I sent her a PM with the info. I think it's drinks like mojitos and drinks of the day. I've heard people have great fun at those tastings.

They look super fun. I'm hoping they can give us an option of times to choose from as a group. I emailed Disney and hadn't heard a word. She's concierge and voila, it's s done deal. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

It was a great birthday weekend. Lots of food, drink, and family time. :lovestruc I'm so hungry today. Post food coma is hard to shake.

How was your mom's bday trip? Did you get to celebrate with her at all? How are the Mother's Day cruise plans coming?

Have you ever done any of the activities between the show and dinner? I've read there is about an hour in between.

She already got back to me that I'm added. She's super speedy! Shame on DCL for not getting back to you, it shouldn't matter if you're concierge or not

Sounds wonderful :) apart from the being hungry today. Feed that body! :rotfl:

How was your mom's bday trip? Did you get to celebrate with her at all? How are the Mother's Day cruise plans coming?

No, sadly have not celebrated with her yet. She'll be back tomorrow, I'm picking her up at the airport. Her trip didn't end up as fabulous as planned, her DBF has been sick. Hopefully we'll get to celebrate sometime this week.

Mothers Day trip is completely planned, except for getting FP+s for post cruise, that window hasn't opened yet. I'm just looking forward to our trip at this point :)

Have you ever done any of the activities between the show and dinner? I've read there is about an hour in between.

Yes, there is about an hour. I'm trying to think what we usually do. Several times we've just walked around the top decks enjoying the breezes and nobody is out at that time, it's like we have the ship to ourselves. And I like to browse the shops at that time too, but I've never done any activities, not sure there is enough time.

I know but it sure helped that she is. :thumbsup2 Whatever it takes to throw this together. It appears as if we've got a boat load of really nice people to cruise with.

Sounds wonderful :) apart from the being hungry today. Feed that body! :rotfl:

I fed it! :rotfl2: I'm trying to be frugal and watch what I eat. :upsidedow Painful.

Oh no, I hope she doesn't get sick too. I'm glad you'll see her though.

:woohoo: Did you decide on a Palo/spa surprise or not? With FP+ can you also obtain FPs the old way throughout the day?

Sounds like a great time to stroll and shop. The more I read, the happier I am about late dining. It seems as though we'll be so less rushed during the entire cruise. :cloud9:

First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I wished you it on FB but more wishes are always a good thing!

:goodvibes  Thanks girl.

If memory serves, we each had one, plus a carryon each (kids had their backpacks), plus a bag full of all the booze we carried on, plus another tote full of FE stuff. Not positive on the tote though as I may have just filled up one of the kids backpacks with FE stuff. I am SO glad they've raised the beds. We had no where to put the actual luggage once unpacked on that cruise, it drove me crazy.

I am so glad too though I have nothing to compare it too. I figured if worse came to worse, I'd stow our bags on one side the Navigator's Verandah though I've been assured its not recommended. ;)

One bag plus carry on sounds about right. Does Disney limit like the airlines?

I have decided to bring a bottle of rum and mini coffee creamers, if I can find them. I'm not going to search of them though. I'll have my friend take me to one store. The rum trumps the creamer.

That's how I feel about my risotto :thumbsup2

M says risotto is not easy to prepare. His is amazing. So good and creamy and fattening. What kind do you make? He makes a multi mushroom and Parmesan one. TDF!

nothing wrong with that and tennis shoes take up a ton of space. I do like Keens for outdoor activity if I need something sturdier than a flip flop.

Good point though I doubt I'll even need tennis shoes. I am slug like on vacation. I would like to walk the deck though.

I like capri's too...though I honestly am OVER the ones I have. Need new ones. I've worn those with a heel or cute sandal or even (gasp) dressy tailored shorts to MDR dinner.

Shorts? You're gonna get in trouble. :rotfl: I understand the rule but seriously, nice pressed shorts look better than wrinkled khakis any day. :thumbsup2

Yeah it does, I could hide a 3+ m pregancy or more under it. :rotfl2:

You're insane! You're a twig and that dress looks amazing. Nut.

Concrete strapless. Works wonders. You could pull it off with the right bra, it's the only way I can for sure! The colors aren't really all that great on me but I just love the dress. Tommy Bahama. They make some of the BEST resort dinner wear...if I do get anything new for our cruise (and I do not need a thing mind you) it will be from there, or Athleta.

The brand is Concrete? Thats about what I need. :lmao: Our friends love Tommy Bahama. Might have to look into it. Thank you.

Jeff calls me nanook of the north. I actually took a shrug to Alaska and a very a few scarfs to Florida as they add "just" enough. There will be a fair mix of it all, you will be fine and look fabulous no matter what you bring.

Scarves. Smart! :thumbsup2 I've got a neutral one I'm going to pack. I freeze in the movies etc...

Multipurpose on the shoes really helps save space.

I need to look but I've got a pair or two I am thinking of. need to get packing! :hyper:

I fed it! :rotfl2: I'm trying to be frugal and watch what I eat. :upsidedow Painful.

I hear you there, I've been eating non stop since thanksgiving. Need to turn the tide!

Disney does not limit bags at all, you just might have to ask for more tags at drop off but we've never had an issue. On the dream cruise we had more bags that that due to leftover groceries from Vero and very inefficient packing as we'd hit the store after we'd loaded up so the drinks etc, were seperate. You can get room service coffee and they will bring creamer. Or walk up to the self serve stand and it's there as well. Or pop into the cafe.

M says risotto is not easy to prepare. His is amazing. So good and creamy and fattening. What kind do you make? He makes a multi mushroom and Parmesan one. TDF!

It is easy, it's just a lot of stirring and you have to pay attention. I make a basic parmesan one (or asiago or whatever I have around lol) but will toss in whatever I have if I feel like it, mushrooms, asparagus, etc.

Good point though I doubt I'll even need tennis shoes. I am slug like on vacation. I would like to walk the deck though.

You can walk the deck in flip flops . 3x a round = 1 mile. Jeff and I like to start our day that way

Shorts? You're gonna get in trouble. :rotfl: I understand the rule but seriously, nice pressed shorts look better than wrinkled khakis any day. :thumbsup2

Exactly. Linen bermuda's and heels can be very dressy.

You're insane! You're a twig and that dress looks amazing. Nut.

I stand by my statement. You'd be amazed at what I can hide. I hit 200 lbs both times with the E's. I bet I could have worn that all the way to 6m!

The brand is Concrete? Thats about what I need. :lmao: Our friends love Tommy Bahama. Might have to look into it. Thank you.

:rotfl: no, the brand is Le Mystere. I like theirs the best both in support and plunge, some of the others are pretty high cut which doesn't work well on some dresses. Plus it has less spandex than most and so for me, with my allergy, that's a good thing since in the summer I wear a strapless bra most days!

Scarves. Smart! :thumbsup2 I've got a neutral one I'm going to pack. I freeze in the movies etc...

LOVE having a scarf or 2 along.

I am dealing with my own guilt for going on a Disney cruise without ANY of my kids. Lol. However they went on the last one and if am sure will go on the next one. We also have a Palo brunch booked and our Cabana for Serenity Bay. For everything else we are just planning to go with the flow. I can't wait!

Just the thought has me laughing, I'm picturing myself getting tipsy and thats a funny thought. Sure, that would be fun. Glad you had a fabulous birthday weekend! :)

I am sure that if I taste everything I will be tipsy. You guys may have to escort me back to my stateroom. Lol. I generally make it a rule to only have one drink so that I don't get lightheaded. I am such a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. I think we are going to have a great time though. My hubby is a little jealous. Lol.

I'll be back to respond but wanted to share some info Beth shared with me this morning....apparently I booked one of the secret verandah cabins. I had no clue! Total score. :woohoo:

Darn, trying to post the link but its not working.

And party: 18 days ladies!!! party:

Theres something about Disney that brings nice people together, I love it!

Im trying too but have not been very good :(

Oh no, I hope she doesn't get sick too. I'm glad you'll see her though.

She just better not get me sick, I have a vacation to go on!

:woohoo: Did you decide on a Palo/spa surprise or not? With FP+ can you also obtain FPs the old way throughout the day?

She knows I booked Palo, but she has no idea I booked Remy. That will be on Mothers Day, Im very excited about that :) and we'll get the Rainforest Room passes for the whole cruise, she loves the Rainforest Room.

The parks are gradually getting rid of the paper FPs, Im not sure what phase they'll be at when we're there. I just realized I'll need a new park ticket, I conveniently forgot that :faint:

Sounds like a great time to stroll and shop. The more I read, the happier I am about late dining. It seems as though we'll be so less rushed during the entire cruise. :cloud9:

It works better for me. I dont like rushing back to the ship, especially on CC day to get to dinner. Its more relaxed in my opinion.
