Has anyone decorated their Magic Bands? Please show us the pictures!

what material did you use? what steps did you take?
I used clear base coat, stickers, nail art stickers, nail art pen, pink glitter polish and then clear top coat. I applied the base coat first then applied the stickers. Outlined the mickey head on my band in black. Re coated with base coat, then applied the glitter coat, and then finally top coat. Mine is the only one with glitter. Same steps for all minus the glitter and outlining the head.

Did you have them bent while painting? Have any cracked? I have tattoos but I also want to add glitter to mine and DD's I just don't know if I should do glitter and leave as is or add another clear coat.
Thx for the info

I did leave them bent and closed. Need to check and see if they are going to crack when I open them. You are very welcome. I will report back again in a few. Off to check them now. :)

Just checked them now and there is no cracking when i open them. Maybe using the base coat and the top coat over that helps to keep the cracking from happening.

I just did 2 bands with nail polish. Olaf and Mike wasowski. Came out awesome..... I can't figure out how to put pics on here from my phone. Galaxy S4.... anyone??

You need to upload the photo to a site like Photobucket or Flickr first, then copy the URL information and paste it into the field that appears when you click on the photo icon above (the box with the two mountains and a sun in the sky).

Can't wait to see your bands!

Has anyone thought about or tried, using duck tape sheets and cutting out either shapes or lining the whole band that way? I happened to see these sheets in a craft store and they had tons of patterns, seemed like it might work but since I haven't tried decorating a band I'm not sure if it'd stay well or not.

I believe something similar to that is sold with Disney characters. There's a link in one of the previous pages but can't remember which.

Very cool. What did you use to paint on the MB? What steps did you take?

Both were done with nail polish free hand drawn. Just took a few coats and patience to let it dry in between. Then a clear top coat.
My son has been wearing them for 3 days now. No cracking or anything. So I'd say the nail polish is the best route.

We got our bands today, and the good news is my sliders fit. The bad news is, they don't fit over both sides… just the side with the holes. I couldn't get the slider over the little prong things that attach to the holes. Also, my sliders fit on the adult bands perfectly, but are a little large for the kid bands. So it was sort of successful.

Yes, I used tattoos and clear nail polish. It was so easy! The tattoos came from Amazon. This method works best on these light colors. My son had to have a red magic band, and it is hard to see the tattoos on red.

My DD changed her red to a blue since we thought the princess tattoos we got wouldn't show. I have pink and will also be using princesses, DS green for toy story and DH picked the red. He's got the avengers. Can't wait to get mine.

Oh, I tried so hard to talk DS into green for Toy Story tattoos. But, he is six and stubborn! I considered telling him that they were out of red. But, I figured that he had to wear the band on his arm all week. He should have the color he wanted.
