Going to the Yacht club in August. Can not wait. Always prefer to stay close to Epcot as that is our fav park. Any one stayed here before ?

bc is far closer to EPcot.

although yc has some nice views of Epcot.

I always love this comment!! They are one big building. The BC end is a few hundred feet closer - like 2 min walk closer.

BC is also noisier, more crowded, longer walk to bus stop than YC, further from DHS, hurrican Hannas, the marina, and the boat.

BC is closer to Epcot by perhaps 2 minutes depending on where you are staying. Yacht Club is awesome - similar rooms to BC but full balconies and less hectic than BC. If you stay at Yacht Club you'll be about a 5 minute walk from Epcot

The difference in distance of BC and YC to Epcot is negligible, IMHO....maybe 2 minutes?? :confused3

We stayed at YC in a April and it was lovely. We are trying the BC side this year. :goodvibes

The closest room to Epcot at the BC is about 5-7 minutes closer to Epcot than the furthest away rooms at the YC. The difference is usually about 2-4 minutes (for most rooms). The YC rooms are much closer to the boat dock to ride to DHS or Epcot. Also, the bus stop is more convenient at the YC than at the BC by a minute or two. As far as we are concerned, it's six of one and a half dozen of the other.

YC has nicer rooms (IMO) all with balconies. YC has a quieter lobby.

Both resorts are equally nice, just a little bit different from each other.

Stayed here and LOVED it! You picked a great resort. I would request a room near the main elevators by the lobby. Convenient to everything!

Stormalong Bay is a fantastic pool. The view from some rooms include the high fireworks from Illuminations.

Enjoy your trip!

We really enjoyed our YC stay! We ended up at the far end of the YC, pretty far from the lobby and pool. We asked for a ground floor room, close to lobby and day bed and received ground floor room with a day bed. I was ok with the location as our water view had an amazing view of the high Illuminations fireworks.

We found the distance between the YC and BC to be maybe 2min, even from our far out room at the YC.

We chose the YC as we wanted a patio or a full balcony and the YC has a much better chance at getting one vs BC which has many rooms with a juliette balcony or no balcony. That would be a deal breaker for us.

We found the YC to be quiet even in the summer, it was lovely.

Cape May dinner buffet is our favorite restaurant in all of WDW. We stuff ourselves on crab legs and shrimp.

Stayed at the YC CL about 4 years ago. Had a great time. DD and DNiece loved Stormalong Bay. Will be there again next weekend. DH has a conference.
I hope you enjoy it. We had no complaints.

Tagging on to Pinkgirls response. Join us over on the BC/YC thread. Tons of great info on the first pages and then some really great people.:)

We stayed at BC in Oct and LOVED it!!!! We are staying at YC in April and I am super excited. Like others have said I don't think the walking distance to Epcot from YC is much more than BC.:cool1: Have a great trip!:woohoo:

If you like a quiet and more reserved feel then YC is for you. If you want a bit more excitement then I'd suggest BC.

Do note that most if not all YC rooms have balconies where BC only about 50% do. I also think that YC has the better Crescent Lake views than BC.

We had stayed at BC 5x, then our last stay we tried YC. It was fantastic. They are sister resorts because they are so VERY similar. In our five stays at BC, we never got a full balcony. At YC we were guaranteed a full, and it was worth it. It's so nice to have coffee or afternoon drinks out on the balcony. After that stay, we were sold on YC. (What can I say? We are creatures of habit!)

I'll never understand why people complain about being 'nearer' to Epcot, it is honestly a two minute walk further. It would be the same if people at BC complained that YC is closer to the boat docks. That should not be a factor in choosing either resort. ::yes::

Epcot is our favorite Park as well. Its nice to go to World Showcase in the evening and just enjoy walking around, having drinks, exploring, etc. It is a gorgeous resort, have fun!

:):wave2:

Got upgraded to Yacht Club on our last trip before my husband died - somehow Disney mixed up our ressies and did not have a handicapped-accessible room (as requested and arranged for MONTHS prior ). Spent our first night in a regular room at Pop , then Disney moved all our stuff the next AM while we were at the Magic Kingdom .

LOVE LOVE LOVED Yacht Club ! Not too stuffy despite the formality >>> kids loved it . Stormalong Bay was great , I can't wait to (eventually LOL ) go back .
The sand-bottom pool was a treat !

Great , easy acess to EPCOT , too .

We love the EPCOT area resorts. We are staying at YC in May for the 2nd time. Our first repeat if you see my signature

We are having a Garden room at the YC. Stayed at the Boardwalk before, used to work at Epcot;)

We went with YC because of bigger chance of balconies.
I am from Norway, i can walk those extra 5 min;)
