Has anyone used this company before? I was going to contact Dreams Unlimited but then I found this Australian company. I would prefer to go through an Aussie company if I can but I can't find much info on this travel agent.

TIA :)

I've not heard of them either - but then again I rarely use an agent. A lot of them seem to offer the same service and most people seem enthusiastic about whomever they use. Like me - I once used a UK agent to access the UK offer and she had great service.

the one I do know with a difference is Magical Vacations who have special offers.

However - what the question MMH website raises for me is : what is the difference that using a "Disney Authorised" agent gets you?

MMH state that they are Disney only (do Aussies really generate enough Disney traffic to keep a specialised agency going?) AND they seem to provide the same thing as all the USA Authorised agents deliver. But they are not "Disney Authorised".

So does anyone know what is the difference?

Thanks for your replies.

I generally book everything myself however I like the idea of having someone checking for specials for me after I have booked. I don't have time to keep checking for stuff like that, plus id like to avoid the hassle of trying to call the US to have the offer applied!!

Other than the airfares I'll be booking the rest for myself. I prefer the airfares to be done by an agent so that they can fix up stuff ups if they happen (and they HAVE many times!!)

We have booked our upcoming trip through them. We started planning 12 months in advance and they have been wonderful. You won't regret going with them!

Thanks for your reply Vnuzz. How did the price compare to booking direct through disney? I'm just wondering if they take a bugger commission than the US agents?

The price is pretty much the same as Disney - no extras. The good part is that they keep an eye out for specials and apply them on your behalf. We were lucky enough to be traveling during free dining and they sat on the phone with Disney and applied my savings of $1600! Wonderful!

On top of this they provide us with touring plans, booked all of our ADRs at the 180 day mark and have provided personalized service from day one. We have enjoyed this planning experience much more than our 2010 booking with a regular travel agent!

I'm happy to answer any other questions...I can't recommend them enough :)

They also booked other aspects of our trip too - transfers, accommodation in other cities, tours. So long as your trip involves Disney, they can plan as much or as little of your trip as you require :)

The TA I initially booked through wanted to charge me $25 for them to call DCL to make progress payments. Check that you don't get charged for them to call overseas for you.

Hi Kirsten

Thanks for clearing that up. I look forward to hearing from you when the 2015 prices are released :)

Thanks Vnuzz, that sounds great!! I would prefer to deal with someone here if I can. I contacted a couple of US agents at the same time as contacting Magical Mouse and whilst Kirsten only took a couple of days to get back to me, the US ones took over a week!! That doesn't work for me!!

Yes they are right on the ball, always keeping you updated and nothing is too much trouble for them. For example, they are holidaying in Thailand as we speak and they are still working hard to apply free dining to all of their clients with bookings for dates just released on the free dining plans! You wouldn't get this service from a regular TA.

I'm glad you made contact with them, you won't regret choosing them! Happy planning! :)

Wow!! That IS good service!! Well they are definitely at the top of my list :) Thanks for the feedback!!

I would not recommend Magical Mouse Holidays as they are very rude and take forever to reply. I also cross referenced quotes I got from Disney itself and in most cases it was cheaper. MMH has copied the name MMH.com which I find quiet bizarre.

I would also like to bring to your attention when I questioned Kirsten about the travel agent license/qualifications, she replied Jim is not authorized to quote people as he is NOT a qualified travel agent, but I want to know, WHY I have received emails from JIM? I will be reporting your company to the AFTA.

I have to completely disagree with you Disneyall.

I have been dealing with Magical Mouse for months now and have been delighted with their service. They usually answer within a few days, which is fast compared to the other companies I have dealt with! My package prices have been identical to what I would pay on the Disney website.

They have recently been away in the US so maybe that is why there was a delay?

I'm not sure what you mean by them copying the name mmh.com? That website seems to be assigned to someone else?

As for Kirsten being licensed and Jim not, that is very common in many small businesses over many industries. One person assumes responsibility for the license and the other person operates as their assistant as such. I am not sure exactly how it works in travel but as long as it is Kirsten booking the travel under her license, I would have no problem with Jim (who has been to Disney just as many times as Kirsten) sending me emails.

If you check their ABN they come up as a partnership, which means Jim has to be licensed for the business to be licensed. Are you sure you're talking about the same Magical Mouse Holidays? I can't imagine Kirsten incorrectly giving you information about her own businesses licensing. Although, come June travel agent licenses and membership to the TCF will no longer be needed. Membership to AFTA is optional, you'd be reporting them to NSW Fair Trading if you had an issue.

LisaAJ I think they're saying that Magical Mouse Holidays copied the Canadian business with the same name. However, if you look up the business name registration the Australian business name was registered in 2011 and the ************************* domain was registered in 2012 so I'm not sure how Kirsten and Jim would have known a Canadian business with the same name existed on the other side of the world if they didn't have a website. Maybe they were copied?

You'll find that on every online forum there are posters who join up just to dig up an old thread and then leave a one-time negative post. Sometimes they're spammers, sometimes they have a bone to pick, either way I wouldn't put too much concern into what has been said.

Disneyall, if you're genuinely interested in joining the Dis, we'd love to hear about some of your more positive travel experiences and plans.

Just use Drems Unlimited. Even though they are US based you still get all your own Disney log ons and booking numberss well as a set from Dreams. I have used them 2 times coming from Australia and they were fantastic and very fast. They are totaly safe so dont let the fact they are american worry you. They will never ask you for any money either.

I'm still waiting for them to contact me when the 2015 cruise dates were released! They were released months ago! It was a week between messages when they did contact me too. I'm sure I just got a disorganised agent though as I've heard lots of good things about them.
