Landry Card - trex/rainforest cafe

we got this in december while eating at rainforest cafe. I think it was $25.00 and you get a $25 credit so i figured why not? the reason it caught my attention was the waiter said that if you show up at a landry restaurant with one of these cards you go ahead of the wait. He gave the example of a party of 9 showing up with one when the place was on a 2 hour wait. He said they were seated in less than ten minutes. The more I think about how many people must have this card (offered by our waiter) the more I can't imagine this particular aspect of the card is all that great.

anyone with a landry card try this? what was your experience? I was thinking if we were in dtd on our next trip it may be fun to do trex but I don't want to be tied to an adr.

We used ours at RFC in AK and they did move us to the front of the line, so that was nice. As far as TRex, you can also call the restaurant directly and get a priority seating reservation. They have more availability that way than through Disney ADRs and you don't have the CC guarantee.

You can also use it at Yak and Yeti.

You lose the "waiting before you are called to get in the line and wait" wait. There is nothing bad about losing that wait. We have never only waited 10 minutes, but we waited less than we would have waited without the card!

Used it last easter week at RFC in DTD. The wait was almost 2 hours.
We were seated in 10 mins.
I also got something for my birthday.

Now I recall. I was able to use the 25.00 credit and got a brithday credit of 25 bucks.

I think I will get it for our next trip because my birthday is in June. So if I pay $25 for the card and get $25 then get $25 for my birthday...I will have $50 for $25. I can also get a $50 gift card using $45 of my Discover cash back. So in total, I will have only paid $25 for $100 worth of food.

I would still make an ADR, so the line thing doesn't really to me.

I also got a free dessert for my birthday and free beer from the waiter.I was offered dessert in most places we went that week.
When we checked in I was given a birthday button.

And the food was good!!
