My daughter has allergies and asthma , I've heard that there is a special cleaning you can request of the room , am I dreaming or is this real???

Are you running as well!!?? GOOD LUCK fellow runners!!! Stay safe and run a great race!

Thanks!

This is my 5th year of coming down for race weekend. Been at POP each time. All the cool kids stay there.

Safe travels to all and hope to see some othere POP people at the Friday meet in the food court.

My husband wouldn't go to Disney if they didn't, lol.

I am almost certain all of the TVs carry ESPN, seeing as how it's owned by the Walt Disney Company and I remember watching game recaps with him during baseball season.

AWESOME!
Thank you so much.
I had heard to check out Petals Bar at the pool, but the ASU game doesnt start until 1030pm. Wasnt sure how late it would be open.

Has anyone had any luck recently exchanging meal credits for snacks at Pop Century? We have QS dining through SPD, but we're doing a couple table service meals so we'll have at least 2 extra meal credits. I just don't want to waste them. I'd even take one snack in place of a meal credit.

You could always do the breakfast CS at Boardwalk Bakery or Starbucks--1 piece of fruit, 1 cupcake, etc, and 1 drink.

I have seen window decorations during the holidays - but do people decorate during summer? Even if there is not birthday, anniversary, etc. Just to decorate to celebrate being there? What does Disney allow or disallow?

Yup...you can decorate all you want. It doesn't have to be a holiday or special occasion. You just cant punch holes in the walls. You can use the easily removed hooks and cling decorations. Have fun!!

Are you planning on only doing 2 meals a day? We have the same. We have QS dining with 2 TS ADR's booked, but I don't think we will have any problem using the 2 QS allowed each day. We may even use one for breakfast on the day of departure and possibly dinner the night we arrive.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but have all the refrigerators been replaced yet?

Thanks!

I am doing 2 meals a day. I'm traveling with my sister, BIL, and niece, and while they probably won't have an issue using up their meals (they'll use some on my niece who is under 3 and not on the plan, and my BIL is a big eater) I know I will. I don't like eating a big breakfast, and I don't like to waste time on breakfast. I always do granola bars and fruit cups in the room.

I'm kind of regretting doing the dining plan again. Last time it was just too much food. It is definitely saving us money with SPD compared to what we'd pay out of pocket, but there's no flexibility and I hate wasting food!

So if anyone has any luck getting snacks instead of meals with meal credits at Pop please let me know!

Yep, I believe you can request a "deep clean" at check-in. It might mean you have to wait a bit longer to get into the room, while Mousekeeping gets over there but they'll super-clean it for you

I just booked POP for February 26 -March 3rd...I am so excited it has been 3 years since I have been able to go home. I am wondering about room requests when is it a good to call and have these added to your reservation?

It was a no for me this August. We had quite a few left over since we did HDDR, CP and t-Rex OP. We are actually thinking of just upgrading the dining this trip. Maybe even the resort since the cost after the upgrade isn't huge.

Poo. What about a "continental breakfast" at breakfast time - getting a pastry, a fruit, and a bottled drink? Would they take a meal credit for that? I just can't eat 3 big meals a day. I wouldn't have room for all the yummy snacks!

Looks like I'm late to the party when it comes to booking Pop for my friend and I in February... seems to be completely sold out for discounted rooms as well as GP-rate rooms. Looks like we'll be at ASMu 3rd-7th. Then we're staying in downtown Orlando for a conference for two days and then the only way we can book Pop for the 9th is through Expedia - every single value room for that night seems sold out on MDE :confused3

I'm so mad at myself for not booking earlier - I've known for nearly a month that we were going but I didn't rush as I've never had an issue getting the room I wanted before. I told her about seeing AKL for $185 on Expedia for our last night.... checked back today and they only have $320 Savannah View rooms left :badpc:

In July, the food court mgrs were allowing an exchange of one CS meal for a snack but only on your day of departure. The food court mgr told me it is actually against policy but POP was doing it anyway because they felt if you paid for the DDP and that is how you wanted to use your credit, well so be it. Also the snacks have to come from the food court, they cannot come from the gift shop. NOW THAT SAID.... I would talk to a food court mgr first because most of the cashiers will tell you "NO", but the mgr can override that. That was my experience. HTH. :)
