YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

Soooooo, I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall!! I just know that those MBs won't be working later and that "you will get wet"! ;)
The water bed outside Soarin' was dry for my first trip in August, but they had the coins all gathered up and the water was flowing again at the end of the month. :thumbsup2
Wonder how far you will get before the downpour starts?!

The young adults had lunch at Teppan Edo during our trip back in April (eventually I'll be healthy enough to get back to posting and finally finish the first full day). It was one of our favorite new to us meals the entire trip.

Hello my lovely friend. :wave2:

What a great start to your day!!

Must be nice to get up and have breakfast so close. That would be a great way to start out anyone's day! :goodvibes

I admire y'alls stamina to go in Aug. I just don't think I could ever do it. I wouldn't survive the heat rash I'd acquire being there in the heat. :worried:

The pictures of Donald is hilarious!! :rotfl: I love how you so eloquently state things in such a humorous way, you crack me up! If I had been there I would have lost it, I probably wouldn't have been able to stop laughing to take the picture.
Poor Donald!

Hope the lunch turns out well! :thumbsup2

I have to admit, I skipped the dining review, but it sounds like it was better than last time? Lol. Glad it was at least a good evening!

CL seems so appealing to me, one of these days it'll happen, bahahaha!

A lovely morning in Epcot! And I had NO Idea that Donald and Goofy weren't in there anymore!? I could've sworn Amanda met GOofy over there in Dec? Also those pictures with Donald are THE best, definitely going to have to ask him about it next time!

Ah Norway...you will soon be my new home ;) FINGERS CROSSED

Hi Brenda!!
It's Steven that was with Katt the day in Epcot you had the dismeet! So glad to meet you! I'm going to come back and catch up on the trip report for sure! :)

The photo of the squirrel is pretty funny, but I do hope the little guy is ok.

Club level breakfasts look awesome. How convenient!

Row 1 is the only way to go with Soarin'. I've been known to beg CMs to let me on row 1.

Sounds like you're about to get soaked!

Hi Brenda! Another great update!!! Congratulations on being in the top 10 Threads for November!!

Hugs,
Sandra

First - welcome back! Hope your latest trip was all you hoped for and more!

Second - congrats on being in the top 10 again! ... only like another 26 months to catch Jess ;)

I so think the same thing when on attractions that pass by windows where people work ... I mean, there aren't a lot of people that have major vacations they plan months for to where I work

... excellent foreshadowing by the way!

Haha, I just love (envy) the notion of a "sitting room" while staying in a Disney resort. I have a feeling my Disney resort "sitting room" is not quite as nice. :rotfl:

Honestly with all that CL food, a breakfast ADR just seems redundant.

OMG that squirrel... :rotfl2:

Yeah, I was just going to question your "character suit" comment. Thankfully, you corrected that error. :thumbsup2

BAHAHAHA, that is too cute about Donald's no pants.

Ahh yes, Maelstrom... the wettest ride in WDW.

"You'll have to see my next TR to see who signed my bottle and gave me a Norwegian hug!"... I know... I know!!!!

I am all caught up over here! Here are my few comments… forgive me, I can't remember everything!

All that cute stuff for the rain, and no rain to outrun! haha!

We haven't been to either Character meet at HS or EPCOT… weird, huh? But that's why I do character meals- eating and characters saves us a little time with the littles. haha

I want to take Cortlyn to the Animation area on our next trip. The child LOVES art, so she'd be super excited to see someone drawing her favorite characters.

Can't wait to see what you thought about Christmas at WDW! :goodvibes

That picture of the squirrel is too funny! :rotfl: Although my idea of staying cool is not being splayed out like that on the hot concrete.

Love Soarin'! Here's to hoping that in 38 days I will be able to ride it in the first row.

I noticed the water bed was drained too, and asked a CM why. He had no idea :confused3 Definitely did not help in the heat but maybe they were preventing people from jumping in :rotfl:

I too wish Donald was still at Character Spot, especially because there are so few opportunities to meet him in the classic blue outfit now. Sombrero Donald rocks but I love the blue. I laughed out loud at his reaction to realizing he was no longer wearing pants!!!

I love Teppan Edo so I'm very excited to hear what you thought. I'll have to jump over to the DR!

Yes, I imagine a cool body of water could be tempting to take a dip in - if no one is looking that is.

I prefer the classic blue Donald as well.

If you didn't already read the DR link for TE here's a summary; bow, chop, fry, eat - Yum!

Slowly catching up again, Brenda.

Love the pictures around World Showcase and at your dinner. But my favorites of are with you the characters. Where's your pants? Too funny!

Hi Kathy! I desperately need to get caught up with all of my subscriptions including yours. The end of the year is brutal at work.

Thanks! Those characters are fun to mess with. Their mannerisms speak volumes.

I love that part of the MB's... So nice to walk into the park and use your FP+'s!!

I have NEVER been in the Character Spot... I don't know why or how... Maybe I'm boycotting bc Donald isn't there anymore?! (I know it wasn't this trip but those Donald photos were great!)

The FP+ certainly changes the dilemma of what FP to pull once in the park. Definitely a great thing to have that settled before you pass through the gates.

Ha ha! I love photos with characters so a place where there is a/c and cute videos while you wait in line is my kind of experience. I didn't realize they wouldn't have Donald or Goofy though.

First off, welcome back! I hope you guys had an amazing time visiting WDW during the holidays.

And now your updates!

Good on Em going to the gym on vacation. That's my plan for my upcoming trip in January! Let's hope I stick to it!

I have been rainproofed for no reason before also. It happens. :rotfl2:

Froot loops is a great way to start the day! Mmmmm.

Hahahahahaha. That squirrel picture is incredible. I think you walked by and he was like "aaaahhhh!!! Duck and cover!"

Epcot when it's hot is the worst, because there is literally no where to hide except inside the attractions.

Hi Dani! Thanks! We had a wonderful time and now my problem will be that I will want to go back every December.

You are doing so well with your fitness results that I have no doubt you'll be hitting up the gym next month.

And.... there's so much open space that getting to that next a/c attraction takes some walking. I suppose we could always stop by the little kiddie fountain park. ;)

You are very perceptive Linda! Yes, there was an issue with the MBs... and yes, the rain's on its way. The next post should answer both of those questions. :)

The young adults had lunch at Teppan Edo during our trip back in April (eventually I'll be healthy enough to get back to posting and finally finish the first full day). It was one of our favorite new to us meals the entire trip.

I hope all is well and you have a great Christmas with your family. I just caught up with your TR. :)

Teppan Edo has never disappointed us and it is one of the restaurants that we have managed to book every trip. That good! :thumbsup2

Hello my lovely friend. :wave2:

What a great start to your day!!

Must be nice to get up and have breakfast so close. That would be a great way to start out anyone's day! :goodvibes

Poor Donald!

Hope the lunch turns out well! :thumbsup2

Hello there my sweet friend!!

CL breakfast was the solution to those lazy mornings for which we didn't want to venture out early for breakfast - which actually became a trend this trip.

I actually don't mind heat - most days, and I love the cheaper rates and lower crowds but it is definitely a trade off since there were some really hot days!

I think we heard a snort from Donald so "he" was amused! :lmao: Definitely he needed some wardrobe help that day.

Hi Katt, otherwise known as Elsa!

Definitely a better MP dining experience confirmed by the now smiling faces in the photo.

Maybe they rotate the characters a the Character Spot?? I don't recall where else Goofy would have been in Epcot. Definitely ask Donald about his pants. I want to hear more hilarious stories of what he does.

Hi Brenda!!
It's Steven that was with Katt the day in Epcot you had the dismeet! So glad to meet you! I'm going to come back and catch up on the trip report for sure! :)

Hi Steven, I remember you! You are Prince Philip for sure! Keep pursuing the dream.

Thanks for reading and commenting!!! I'm so glad that you are here.

Hi Annie! I think Mr. Squirrel needed some shade. Or a cool drink.

Yes. Definitely convenient to go up a floor for breakfast and then proceed with our day.

See! You know the place to be for Soarin'. It just makes it more realistic if you don't have feet dangling in your peripheral vision.

You must have your crystal ball out today..... ;)

Hi Brenda! Another great update!!! Congratulations on being in the top 10 Threads for November!!

Hugs,
Sandra

Hi Sandra! Thank you! That was a bit of a surprise since this is moving so slowly. But thank you for continuing to read along.

Hi Phil! Thank you! It was a great trip and some great memories were created with all the Disers we met!

Thank you. I'm surprised this is still getting any attention since no one has seen a castle suite yet. :p Yeah Jess is in a whole different TR stratosphere and will likely be even with her TR concluded.

I'm just glad that people don't pass by my office where I work with their cameras. ;) Actually, it would be quite boring so there's no reason to entertain that thought any longer.

Yep... hang on...

Haha, I just love (envy) the notion of a "sitting room" while staying in a Disney resort. I have a feeling my Disney resort "sitting room" is not quite as nice. :rotfl:

Honestly with all that CL food, a breakfast ADR just seems redundant.

BAHAHAHA, that is too cute about Donald's no pants.

Ahh yes, Maelstrom... the wettest ride in WDW.

"You'll have to see my next TR to see who signed my bottle and gave me a Norwegian hug!"... I know... I know!!!!

Hey there Rob! I'm a complete Dis pal failure.... I'm ashamed to admit that I emerged with my subscription to your latest TR on page 3! Darn! Busy day today but I'm glad to see you started.

Ha ha! I can have a sitting room anywhere where I .... wait for it... sit. Makes sense to me.

Redundancy noted. It's a good thing that we typically opt for one or the other.. elsewise people may talk about my oinker tendencies.

Poor Donald. He definitely set himself up for that one though.

You definitely know about that Malestrom wettest ride situation. I wonder if they scare away any potential riders with that sign??

Yes you do!!

I am all caught up over here! Here are my few comments… forgive me, I can't remember everything!

All that cute stuff for the rain, and no rain to outrun! haha!

We haven't been to either Character meet at HS or EPCOT… weird, huh? But that's why I do character meals- eating and characters saves us a little time with the littles. haha

Can't wait to see what you thought about Christmas at WDW! :goodvibes

Hi Christen! Congratulations to Corey for his huge scholastic accomplishment! That's awesome.

I suppose we should be grateful that we didn't actually need the rain gear.

You are a wise woman to not stand in lines for character meets but let the characters come to you when you eat. Very good strategy indeed!

The animators are great with the kids. I know some people would not be willing to take time out of their trip to have their kid draw a picture that they could do anytime but I say it is a special thing to do IN WDW with an animator. :cloud9:

I'll give you a sneak peek at our Christmas season trip - loved it! I will share some special events and such but it was really great.

That picture of the squirrel is too funny! :rotfl: Although my idea of staying cool is not being splayed out like that on the hot concrete.

Love Soarin'! Here's to hoping that in 38 days I will be able to ride it in the first row.

Hi Dave! I don't think the squirrel was a smart fella but then again if he went around carrying an umbrella for shade that would be a sight!

I hope you plan to have a FP+ for Soarin'! You can always ask to wait for the first row. We've done that before.

Enjoy your countdown! :)

That squirrel picture is hilarious...he said it was too hot to be in Epcot that morning! :rotfl2:

Maelstrom is the perfect attraction to stop by if you want to go on a quick ride. Although, I've never seen that sign about getting wet before. :confused3 Guess I've always been to focused on walking to pay attention....

Hmmm, between the warning of rain and the MBs working, I'm curious to see how the rest of your day went.

Great update! Trying hard to catch up on TRs... Glad you were on a trip - so that makes yours especially easy to catch up on. ;)

Hmmm... I don't remember the water bed being drained during our trip??? Maybe it was full again by the time we made it to Epcot?

Love Soarin' - for the many times we have ridden it - we have never been in any row, but the front... We always ask - and the CMs are always nice enough to let us wait. I can't imagine the riding it with feet in front of you is the same?

Must smell Laila now... I have a perfume problem. I admit it... Along with a shoe problem... And a bag problem... And a Disny problem... Oh wait! I don't think any of those are problems...

I hope you are well Brenda! Must move on to the next TR I am behind on now. :)

D~

Finally catching up here! Sorry again for falling so far behind. This is a mini novel of my thoughts while reading what I had missed.

You and Em cleaned up nice for your dinner at Yachtman. Just kidding, you two girls always look nice but look especially stunning in black and white!

It seems like you and Kathy were traveling together the whole trip!

(Your dinner at Yachtsman was on my DH's birthday. We had steaks at home that night here, haha)

I love your Disney connections, that's so awesome you get awesome servers on the repeat! The postcard was a nice touch!

What is Florida water? (oh wait do you just mean tap water?)

Oh my goodness the food looks and sounds AMAZING!

Sorry the noise woke you up. That's no fun, especially on vacation!
What a beautiful view!

The YC CL lounge looks very nice but I feel like when we stayed at AKL there were more breakfast options? Everything still looks good though!

I admit to always ignoring Bo! Is there a story with that dude?

Aah wardrobe malfunction! I love your facial expressions in the cropped version.

Ooh 50s PT! We ate there on our honeymoon and can't wait to go back. We didn't have a TV table or a waiter that played along but the food and atmosphere was still fun!

What a steal lunch was. You can't even eat counter service for less than $20! I didn't know that you could order off the kids menus. That's awesome, I don't always have a huge appetite on vacation for every meal.

All I can say is WOW about that past HBD experience! That is one place I absolutely cannot wait to eat at. We've always been on the DDP though and since it's 2 credits we've skipped it. Now I'm wondering if it's ever going to be worth the OOP cost, holy crap!

Awesome use of FP+! A beaver seems like a random prize. What would one do with a beaver?

Em looks so cute coloring with the little kids. That's an awesome way to keep kids entertained while one of the 'rents waits in line!

I just added the 'which character are you' to our Disney bucket list. Somehow every trip I forget to do it!

We did the animation class once. I am not artistic at all but it was still fun! My eeyore didn't turn out half bad. Daniel's however more closely resembled

Bullseye

The dinglehopper brush is really cute, but I agree - $15?!

Your time with Em in the Writers Shop sounds priceless

I hope you had a great trip in December, looking forward to reading about that trip as well!

I had to laugh at your $45 worth of rain proofing purchases that went un-used. That stinks! The only two umbrellas we own were purchased in Disney World. The first one when it rained, and the second one on a later trip because we didn't bring the first one with us.

Haha did Phillippe remember you?

Wow lots of bread options. Hopefully they were better then those little balls of nothing!

That was very nice of him to bring you and Em a drink!

I've heard you mention truffle mashed potatoes before. What exactly are they? when I think of truffle I think of chocolate, but chocolate and potatoes - that doesn't sound right. It's going to be something fancy that I don't know about. Your dinners looked yummy and fancy! For a $13 chocolate bar it better have gold on it, haha. Wow, Phillippe pulled out all the stops to win you back! That's so cool you got a mini tour. I really think you are a Disney World VIP! What a great picture with him. Sounds like a great meal!

It must have been nice to stroll through an empty World Showcase!

I love the squirrel picture. I wonder why the water was drained out of there? It looks weird and desert-y for sure!

I love Soarin, it's gotta be my favorite ride. Do you prefer it in WDW or at DL? I also love Living with the Land. I have never seen a line, it always seems to be a walk on.

I've never stopped at the character spot surprisingly, but who meets there - just mickey or minnie? and oh my goodness have to tell Daniel about Donald and no pants, that would be so fun to ask (can't wait to read what happens) haha cute!

Yay the hole in the wall!

Merry Christmas to you!

Isn't that little critter amusing. I'm not sure where he was going but he struck an odd pose when we walked by. :)

I hadn't seen the getting wet sign at Malestrom before either. Maybe it was a big joke from the CMs??

Yes the rain is coming...

Great update! Trying hard to catch up on TRs... Glad you were on a trip - so that makes yours especially easy to catch up on. ;)

Hmmm... I don't remember the water bed being drained during our trip??? Maybe it was full again by the time we made it to Epcot?

D~

Hi D~! I'm glad to go on a trip so you can get caught up!! :rotfl: I'm feeling terribly guilty since I NEED, no I WANT to get caught up with your PTR. I've been so terribly busy that I only have Dis time late at night anymore. Nonethless, I'm thrilled that you are still a good Dis pal and stop by to check in! :goodvibes

We hadn't seen the waterbed empty until that day either so I'm not sure what happened. Maybe one of the ducks pooped in the water and they had to drain it and treat it. :confused3

And no, Soarin' is just not the same with feet dangling above your head. In CA we usually ask for the front row but at Epcot we just go with it.

I most definitely agree, none of those things are "problems". If it was a problem to love Disney so we'd all be in group therapy and not chatting about planning our next trip. :thumbsup2

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas D~.

Finally catching up here! Sorry again for falling so far behind. This is a mini novel of my thoughts while reading what I had missed.

No worries... I'm still plugging along with this thing. I'm almost to the title day.

You and Em cleaned up nice for your dinner at Yachtman. Just kidding, you two girls always look nice but look especially stunning in black and white!
Thank you!

It seems like you and Kathy were traveling together the whole trip!
It was great to keep running into her and Mark. I don't mind anyone mistaking us for traveling companions.

(Your dinner at Yachtsman was on my DH's birthday. We had steaks at home that night here, haha)

Aha so your hubby is an August birthday. How very nice that we were dining in a similar manner.

I love your Disney connections, that's so awesome you get awesome servers on the repeat! The postcard was a nice touch!

Ricardo is a sweet man and very thoughtful. He welcomed us with a postcard this last time as well.

What is Florida water? (oh wait do you just mean tap water?)
Yep, you got it.

Oh my goodness the food looks and sounds AMAZING!
My photos were not so good but yes, it really was tasty!

Sorry the noise woke you up. That's no fun, especially on vacation!
What a beautiful view!

I suppose the saying there's no sleeping in Disney is true. They just didn't tell me that it's due to the landscaping guys.

The YC CL lounge looks very nice but I feel like when we stayed at AKL there were more breakfast options? Everything still looks good though!

I think overall there do tend to be more breakfast options. Between the breads/pastries, eggs, fruit, oatmeal, and yogurt compared to a few hot apps and cheese/crackers. It's all good though.

I admit to always ignoring Bo! Is there a story with that dude?
There's no story, just Bo admiration since he's become a regular part of my TRs... kinda like a DHS mascot for us. Seriously, now that I write that it sounds really silly. I may have to ditch Bo for a serious relationship.

Aah wardrobe malfunction! I love your facial expressions in the cropped version.
If I'd known what was showing I may have had a different expression. :scared1:

Ooh 50s PT! We ate there on our honeymoon and can't wait to go back. We didn't have a TV table or a waiter that played along but the food and atmosphere was still fun!
You can always ask for a TV table when you check in. We've gotten them without asking for a party of 2 so I'm sure it's random. I love the atmosphere too.

What a steal lunch was. You can't even eat counter service for less than $20! I didn't know that you could order off the kids menus. That's awesome, I don't always have a huge appetite on vacation for every meal.
Wasn't that such a bargain. A hot meal at a TS restaurant for less than $20.

All I can say is WOW about that past HBD experience! That is one place I absolutely cannot wait to eat at. We've always been on the DDP though and since it's 2 credits we've skipped it. Now I'm wondering if it's ever going to be worth the OOP cost, holy crap!
I would go back to HBD.... Em not so much. We've had good experiences as well. Just because of that one server and furry critter it didn't ruin it for me.

Awesome use of FP+! A beaver seems like a random prize. What would one do with a beaver?

Seriously huh?

Em looks so cute coloring with the little kids. That's an awesome way to keep kids entertained while one of the 'rents waits in line!

I just added the 'which character are you' to our Disney bucket list. Somehow every trip I forget to do it!

We did the animation class once. I am not artistic at all but it was still fun! My eeyore didn't turn out half bad. Daniel's however more closely resembled

Em had a great time coloring - it's her thing. It really is a great option for the kids. So simple but fun.

Check out the characters interaction. It's a lot of fun. Especially if you like to eat nice people for lunch rather than have lunch with nice people.

Bullseye
:)

The dinglehopper brush is really cute, but I agree - $15?!
Yep. So instead she spent .51 on something that she'll never us. It was just $14.49 cheaper.

Your time with Em in the Writers Shop sounds priceless
It was one of the best afternoons!

I hope you had a great trip in December, looking forward to reading about that trip as well!
Thanks Melissa. It was a great trip!

I had to laugh at your $45 worth of rain proofing purchases that went un-used. That stinks! The only two umbrellas we own were purchased in Disney World. The first one when it rained, and the second one on a later trip because we didn't bring the first one with us.
See? It happens to other people as well! How many people own multiple Disney umbrellas and ponchos?? More than a few.

Haha did Phillippe remember you?
I was surprised but yes he did. We saw him again a few weeks ago. It's getting to be a habit.

Wow lots of bread options. Hopefully they were better then those little balls of nothing!
I don't think we've dined anywhere where there were so many choices - all good mind you.

That was very nice of him to bring you and Em a drink!
It was. He even produced cocktails for our entire table this last trip. Very nice indeed.

Truffle is a plant that is like a mushroom I believe with a distinctive flavor. Very earthy. Unlike a chocolate truffle. That would be a bad thing to confuse those two!

I rather think Philippe was playing nice but also proud of his restaurant.

It must have been nice to stroll through an empty World Showcase!
:)

I love the squirrel picture. I wonder why the water was drained out of there? It looks weird and desert-y for sure!
That little critter was definitely up to something I just don't know what. He looked like he was playing freeze tag.

I love Soarin, it's gotta be my favorite ride. Do you prefer it in WDW or at DL? I also love Living with the Land. I have never seen a line, it always seems to be a walk on.

I prefer DL only because the queue is much better

I've never stopped at the character spot surprisingly, but who meets there - just mickey or minnie? and oh my goodness have to tell Daniel about Donald and no pants, that would be so fun to ask (can't wait to read what happens) haha cute!
It used to be Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto. Now just Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto.

Yay the hole in the wall!
I finally get that! It will always be a reminder of how I wasn't paying attention to the ride.

Merry Christmas to you!

Thank you Melissa! You ROCK! You get the prize for the biggest catch-up post and comments ever!! :thumbsup2

Merry Christmas to you and your family as well! :goodvibes

Good morning Brenda and Em, I know I am a bit early - but I wanted to stop by to wish you...
