Surprise for family

I'm leaving in 13 days on the Magic, and my family (including my DH) has NO IDEA! It's a surprise for Christmas, and I'm having such a hard time keeping the secret! I've been working on FE while they are all at work and school, lol.
Just had to post SOMEWHERE! lol

I'm wrapping up things for the cruise for Christmas. They will have to put it all together to figure out where we're going. It will be our 6th and 9th cruise.

My DH was trying to plan a secret DW trip for me for Valentine's Day, but I "got the itch" and forced his hand...I'm actually glad I know now, so I can be involved in the planning (especially with FP+, etc), since I'm the planner in the fam.

I told DH that we are going "somewhere" for New Year's and that he'd need to take Jan. 2 off. He was already off for the other days for our trip.

So exciting! I did this last March for my husbands birthday and it was so worth the months of planning and secret packing. Part I was my "wrong exit" that landed us at the airport on a Wed night. All I heard was "where are we going, where are we going..." I couldn't keep a straight face and was literally laughed so hard tears were rolling down my face while boarding the shuttle from the parking lot. On the shuttle I gave him a special birthday gift: a messenger bag filled with his favorite magazines, snacks, and new headphones for the plane ride. It was pretty surreal to be standing at the gate, ready to board, just a couple hours after leaving work. Once we landed in O-town, part II was a surprise party at his best friends house! What a great evening! The next morning at breakfast, a special call from goofy came through to reveal surprise part III. On the way to the port, I started confessing months worth of secrets and cover ups - such a weight lifted. Here I thought it was the end, turns out it was just the beginning of all the excitement! This year, we teamed up and are planning to surprise both our families with a Dream vacation in just a few weeks

That's awesome, Tracy!! I hope you have a MAGICal cruise!! We just booked the Feb. 24th Magic It's a Christmas present for DD. Any ideas on how to "wrap it up." She can't read yet so I've had a hard time thinking of something. I have some colouring pages from the Castaway Club site but I don't think that's obvious enough.

Let me know their reactions...I'm sure Adam will be shocked that he had no idea!

I'm not Tracy but what I did for my hubby and girls was print off one of Barb's designs she made me and it will go in an 8x10 frame with the matte inside which we can then use to get signed on the ship with the characters then update the pic with a cruise pic we take. I also made a picture book for my girls showing pictures on each page of the ship, airplane, hotel we're staying at, port picture to show how we get on the ship then the following pages are of each port we are going to incl the Atlantis hotel and castaway. Hope that gives you some ideas

Hi, Sarah ---

I'm taking my niece and her 5-yr old daughter on Dream Cruise in February. My niece knows, the 5 yr-old does not.

I "googled" to find a photo of Disney Dream, printed it off 8x10, and put it in a Dollar Store frame, made a label "Disney Dream Cruise". I have this wrapped up in a gift box, I printed out a card to go with the gift box....a couple lines on each page....."Your Are Special.....I Have A Special Surpise for You"........."We are going on an Adventure..." etc etc.

I plan to give this to her first. Then, I got her a new Minnie Mouse roller bag, inside this some simple things for the cruise. Mickey/Minnie 2014 calendar (dollar store), stuffed Mickey beanie bag, coloring book, DCL autograph book, Minnie t-shirt.

Plan to arrange the phone call from Mickey mid-January, trying to "stretch out" all the fun.

I love the planning and am so excited thinking of the little one's reaction to it all.....

Enjoy planning the surprise, and of course....the Cruise itself.

Oh, I've also bookmarked some of the best YouTube videos.....like, Princess Meets, AquaDuck.....that I'll share with her along the way.

I made tickets that looked like the retro Disneyland ticket books and each ticket listed off memorable moments.
The E ticket was labeled "SURPRISE! You're going on a cruise!"
