Hi

Would you get to MCO on the way home three hours before or more since it gets so busy?

Thanks

We always aim to get to car drop around 3 hours, by the time we get into the terminal around 2.5 hours to take off.

we got to MCO about 2 1/2 hours before as well this year. We didn't do on line check in either so expected a long wait. When we arrived there wasn't anybody in the check in line for VA and we got through security within 10 mins. It was perfect both ways this year. On arriving at MCO there was nobody in the arrivals hall and we was sitting on the ME within 20 mins of leaving the plane.:cool1:

We did around 3 hours before which was fine. Security was very busy and we still got through okay!

I go about 4.5 hrs- go to a bar have a bite to eat read the paper and a few drinks, then through security- allow at least 30 mins for that, and a few more drinks at the outback bar, then wobble to the gate :rolleyes1

love it!

We always do online checkin and get to the airport around an hour and half before the flight, there has never been a large queue so no rush really.

If we do Downtown Disney check in we arrive at the airport 1.5 hours before departure otherwise we leave the hotel 3.5 hours before departure and this has always been plenty.

We were thier around 3 hours before, had a transfer and wanted to go earlier but they asked what flight we were on and gave us a pick up time. No waiting at check in, loads of time to look round, got through securtiy in less then 30 mins. Very easy.

I think airports have a general 3 hour policy to err on the side of caution and cover people for the busier periods, but most would agree that a full three hours is excessive.

I like to arrive at the airport early, but that's because in general, I like to turn up early when I need to be somewhere. The trouble with being too early is that often check in has not opened so you stand around with all your bags, waiting!

Last year Magical Express forgot to stop and pick us up and we were taken by taxi from POFQ less than two hours prior to take off, and still managed to clear security and make the flight (though I probably wouldn't do it again if it were up to me :rotfl:)

A couple of hours is ample IMO
