12:15pm Flight after Disembarkment?

I just returned again yesterday from the 12/5 Dream sailing. We had 12:25pm flight home (I aim for around 12 noon). We had early dining at 6:45am, took our time, seriously and were off the ship by 7:30am. We were therefore at the airport by 8:45am (after grabbing luggage and going through customs after disembarking). We checked in our luggage with SWA and went through TSA (which took 25 mins and it was busy) and had *plenty* of time.

As others have mentioned, as long as all goes smoothy you should not worry at all. This was my 5th time departing from Port Canaveral and MCO and I've never had any issues and I'm overly cautious, trust me.

We were on the same cruise and used the magical express bus. Our flight was for 14:20. We took in the first breakfast and were on one of the first buses out. We were at MCO before 9am

Our cruise next month on the Magic has a 2pm departure from MCO which is the latest we've departed. Did you guys just hang out at MCO? I don't think we'll even be able to check our luggage until 10am or 4 hours before our departure so I haven't quite figured out what to do with that "issue" yet. We might eat at Cabanas and just go up as late as possible to take our time so we'll get to the airport later. We really have no need to rush and feels like not enough time to go anywhere else.

If you are using the onboard checkin, you won't have to worry. You will leave your bags outside your door the last night of the cruise and the next time you see them will be at your home airport.

The latest you can disembark is 9:00-9:30, so you will most likely be arriving at the airport by 10:30-11:00.

Hey there! I should have clarified, no unfortunately we can't use onboard check in as we use SWA

Even if we "take our time", we will very likely be off the ship no later than 815 so we'll just end up waiting to check our luggage at the airport as there really isn't too much we can do about it unfortunately.

I would be stressed out worrying about it, which would be a bummer for an end to an awesome vacation. We have been "stranded" at an airport due to missed flight times (beyond our control) an it is not fun.

Oh! ...Not using Magic Express.
I'm thinking to reserve a rental car.

We rented a car last year and skipped breakfast and walked off with our luggage and were in Orlando by 9 am. We were able to walk right on our shuttle to the rental agency with no wait. I ended up wishing we had done breakfast but I didn't have a plane to catch.

In about a week, I'll have an experience to share with you -- that may or may not encourage you!

We are doing onboard airline checkin and our flight is at 11:31 (rule is it has to be AFTER 11:30!) Fingers crossed it will all work out, but our other option was 7:30pm and didn't want to spend all day at the airport. (Of course I realize that's exactly what we may be doing if we miss it! C'est la vie!)

FYI.... Had a 11:30 flight today. We used onboard airline checkin, but easily could have carried our bags off as well. We grabbed fast breakfast at cabanas. We were off ship by 7:15. Through customs and on bus by 7:45. ( longest wait was waiting to fill up the bus!!!). We were through security and at our terminal by. 8:45. Crazy easy! I realize things easily could have been delayed but it was super easy and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

It was fantastic!!!!!! Wouldn't change a thing about our trip.... Other than out more sunscreen on in st Thomas!!!
