frequent virgin club

Yay, DH has decided "Bugger Corfu, lets go to Disney next year" so I'm about to book it. I've been trying to get onto Virgins Frequent Virgin Club website but its not working. Does anyone know if its still operating a discount and more importantly is it a call centre at the opposite ends of the earth when I ring to book? (If it is, I'll just book online!)

By discount do you mean using air miles? We have managed to use M+M for our March flights next year.

I wouldn't ring them - we have had some bad experiences with incorrect information and sometimes just plain lies being told (lol) so I find it much easier to use the website... When it works :)

FVC is a club for Virgin Holiday customers, we had to be invited to join, you couldn't apply as far as I can remember. Nothing to do with Virgin Atlantic's scheme.

That's been my experience as well. Incredibly inept. Avoid phoning Virgin at all costs.

You can't get the discount or other perks if you book online now. I've always booked online and then called and asked them to apply the discount but the last time we booked with them when I called they said all frequent virgin bookings have to be made over the phone and they refused to give me the discount.

Like Jen said, you can no longer book online and have the Frequent Virgin discount applied. It's annoying and, in actual fact, last time I phones them for a quote, it wasn't actually that much cheaper than on the website with just the 5% discount.

If you are a member you can book on line in the regular way and then call to have the discount applied manually. But beware you are looking at a 45 minute call while the handler checks you've spent the correct amount of money to remain in the club. Also originally the discount was off the total invoice, now they only take it off selected bits so it's not the discount they promised. I'm letting my membership lapse you. You get cheaper deals elsewhere.

It has to be booked on the phone now, I called to get the discount applied and they refused as I had booked online. I spoke to a couple of different people and they were adamant that they will give the discount when booked over the phone. :headache:
