Anyone booked through AAA recently?

I received a pin code for 30% off a moderate room but have been debating whether to go through AAA. are there any perks to booking through them left? The discount would be the same I am assuming so unless there is really any extra incentive, I might as well just book through Disney with the PIN. I know when we booked two years ago there were some vouchers, but we didn't have a pin so we booked with free dining. I do know we used the diamond parking (we drive) so it was nice to be up front in the parking lots. This is what we plan on booking:

10 nights, August 31-September 10, Coronado Springs with 7 days park hopper tickets with water park & more option. Will not be using the dining plan and don't need airfare since we are driving.

We booked with AAA for our upcoming trip. The only other "perks" are a special storytime that we booked with a Disney character at Epcot and the AAA reserved seating for Wishes, which we also booked. Our agent has been very helpful in researching info for us, and he assures us that if any needs arise while we are there to call him.

Both sound good, but it is just my husband and I, which I probably should of mentioned. While I know the agent we worked with before was great, I never used here besides for booking. The Wishes seating may be nice though.

I've booked through AAA twice (Dec 2010 & Dec 2012). The 1st trip I was a Disney novice. My TA walked me through the steps. Pointed me in the right directions and even helped me move my vacation back a day so I could take advantage of free dining. So, for our second trip, I emailed her and asked is she could still be my TA or if I would have to go into a pool of TA's. She took care of us again. Not only that, but when we arrived in WDW, I had arranged for Disney to have my PhotoPass+ package to be with my check in package. Disney had not only misplaced it but was giving me the wrong locations to go to try to claim it or fix the issue. When I called my AAA TA, she told me to enjoy my day at the park and she would take car of it. By lunch time, she had found a work-around for the meantime, while Disney tracked down my pkg (turns out it was sent to CS, when we were staying at POR).

So I always recommend AAA. Plus, I recomment the vacation insurance.

Thank you for your experience. I think we are going to check out AAA on Monday, hopefully the discount comes out to the same as our PIN code. Any idea how booking through them works with the new magic bands and everything?

It's no different booking it through a TA- you would still have your account online, they'll give you your reservation number to use...

You also get special parking if you get a rental. We got passes for Disney Quest and mini golf passes. Our agent is extremely helpful. I recommend it.

I have used AAA twice now, once back in 2010 and now for our upcoming trip in November. I really thought about booking by myself this time, since I knew everything I wanted BUT when I checked, it was cheaper with the AAA discount and, at the time I booked they were offering a $250 cash back incentive as well if you paid in full by a certain date. That was really worth it for us. When we went back in 2010, we received a really nice suitcase for booking as well. So, we've gotten some added perks besides the various coupons.

We drive, so we will have our car. We are adding the water park & more option so already can do mini golf and quest. But the diamond parking was nice last time to be that close in the parking lots.

I love the Wishes special seating:)
This was something I missed out on last time. Good to know

Good to know it was cheaper with AAA. I was thinking it would end up being the same price. I have quoted my vacation with booking through Disney with my PIN and think I will check out AAA to see if it is cheaper. Good to know there was some incentives as well.

I am new here. What is wishes special seating? If we book with aaa, can they potentially get us reserved parade seating?

I Booked with AAA for our December trip and if you bring your Pin code in they can apply that discount to the package if it's better then what they offer.

Wishes seating was a reservation that we "reserved" prior to visiting and since I knew what park I was going to go to each day, I reserved it for the night we would be in the park late. After the night parade, we walked up near The Plaza Restaurant and there was a roped off area designated for AAA members. It was a great spot and we didn't have to worry too much about people being in front of me to see Wishes.

We just booked our trip with AAA a few weeks ago. I have been very happy with all of their help. Especially since this is a SURPRISE trip for our daughter this time around.

Last time we just purchased park tickets but this time around we are doing it all from resort, park tickets, dining, etc.

Going to AAA tomorrow to see what the price will be for our trip. I have priced out online what it will cost with pin code. Hoping to officially be booked tomorrow =)
