How is Mama Melrose

I wanted to go to 50s prime time for dinner on December 9th but no reservations are available. How is mama melrose?

Good. Not great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was about on par with Olive Garden. Now, in general we enjoy Olive Garden but I like to eat things in disney that we really can't get anywhere else. With that being said we would go again.

We enjoyed it in 2011. I got the steak, which was quite tasty.

We *love* Mama Melrose's. In fact, my sister is choosing to have her birthday dinner there this December because we like it so much. I *do* agree with the PP who said that the food is on par with the Olive Garden.

A few years back we went and were not impressed. However we went again in December and August and it is one of our preferred restaurants now. DH loved the steak and I loved the Vodka penne. The kids meals are also a better portion than usual.

We are there at the end of September, and we had a great meal there. We all really enjoyed our meals. We have some dietary restrictions and they were one of the better restaurants for accommodating us.

We were there last December and it was just ok. A little disappointed as we've had some good meals. I had the chicken parm and it was frozen TV dinner quality.

We really like it! We have been several times and love the atmosphere. It is very cozy!

Surprisingly better then it used to be, but still not great.

It's around on par with Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill. If you like those chains, then you'll probably like it. If you don't, then you won't. I lean towards not, but I do admit Mama Melrose seems to have improved since the last time we were there years ago.

...The dessert sampler they give you for fantasmic packages is horrible, though. Bleh.

NOTE: The Italian restorante does try to serve authentic dishes, but like most WDW
eateries, is highly Americanized. Even though, the food is tasty and pleasingly plated.
But, the pricing is high for the meals offered, bringing the value rating down to a "C".
We were not satisfied with our paying $20 for spaghetti with clams and clam sauce, and
the $22 Pork Chop was overpriced. They have an Italian wine cellar, but nothing to write
home about. Even with these, the eatery is more than acceptable as an in-park eatery
and is above average.

I haven't eaten there since 2009, and I thought it was decent.

We ate at MM for lunch on 9/30. It was the quietest meal we had during our stay. We enjoyed the charming (and did I mention quiet?) ambiance. We were all pleased with our orders, especially the calamari and the steak entree.

We did the Fantasmic package in August and were very pleased with everything. My oldest DS got some sort of seafood/pasta dish and has already requested we eat there again on our next trip. It was absolutely his favorite of the whole trip. Service was excellent. And we even liked the dessert sampler to share! Only complaint was a wait to be seated and then rather a slow pace, even though the waiter did keep checking in with us and was very attentive. But it made us slow down and relax a bit, which is a good thing!

We were very hesitant to try Mama Melrose and I'm soooo glad we did. It's a must do for us now. The steak and the flat breads were amazing. Caesar salad good and Chicken Parmesan pretty good as well. Love the ambiance of the restaurant.

I totally agree with the Olive Garden resemblance in menu and food however when we went we had terrible service and so did everyone who had that same waiter in 2011. She would disappear and then reappear tell you she will go get you more coke and never come back. She service is what keeps me away from the place. We had a fantasmic package, she forgot to give us the card and all and our meal took 3 hours believe it or not.
