We are a couple from DC area with two boys with us (16) and (13) and one off to college.....eeeeek! Are there any fun events scheduled for this group. We'd love to meet some folks.

There's going to be a lot of fun events planned. We just haven't put them all together yet

You are definitely not late. I would think over a year in advance can't be called late. When things are put together I'm sure they'll be posted here. We also have a group on Facebook

Hi all!

We're sailing on this cruise as well! We're me (Andrea - 43) my DH, Steve 43, DD - Sophie - 9 at the time and DS - Henry - 6 at the time.

This will be our 3rd Disney cruise. Sailed on the Magic in May 2004 (before kids) and the Dream in July 2011. Can't wait to go again.

We're DVC members and will spend a week and a half at AKL before the sailings. We used to live in Orlando (even got married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion!) so we have friends we want to catch up with!

We now live outside of Buffalo NY and will likely be driving down so that we can take our time and catch up with friends.

Can't wait to meet everyone!

We were just on the Fantasy the week of Aug 10-17, 2013 - it was fantastic! There was a server in the main dining room, his name was Daniel from Portugal. He wasn't our server but he was serving the table nearby. He was so friendly and great with the children (we were a large group of 17, lots of kids!). I wanted to mail him a care package but I don't have much info on him. I need his last name so it doesn't go to another Daniel somewhere on the ship. I contacted DCL but they won't release that info. If someone who is travelling this week can please help me by finding Daniel from Portugal (server) and ask him for his last name and maybe an email address that would be wonderful! Hope it's not too much trouble and enjoy your trip!

Glad to hear it, it looks amazing. We are going in 2015, 7 days on the NCL Pride of America to island hop and then 4 days at Aulani to relax.

We did the POA in 2011 and had a great time. Let me know if you have any questions, happy to offer any insight I can.

Its been a while since I posted here since we had another cruise to go on before this one. We returned from our cruise on Oasis of the Seas (it was the DIS Cruise 1.0 ) just under 2 weeks ago. With that now behind us, it is time to really focus on this cruise - although we will likely make a trip to WDW for Easter break (since Easter is late next year, it would allow us to be there for DS's birthday) that would then steal some of our vacation planning attention. However, since it seems that these days so much of my thoughts are centered on future vacations , I suppose there is room in my thoughts for both trips.


While on the Oasis, it was hard not to make comparisons to DCL. There are things they do better (nightlife, ship layout/design particularly the public areas, and of course&pricing!), things they do worse (daytime activities both in scheduling and execution, stateroom design), and things that are about equal (service, food).



Now that were back from Oasis, the long wait until our next cruise has begun 50 weeks to go . Were looking forward to looking forward to the cruise with you all over the next 11.5 months.



We would also like to officially join the FE group (I dont believe we did that yet, although I could be wrong). Also, I just reviewed the roll call in the first post of this thread, and I should fill in our names. It is: myself (Mike), DW Kathleen, DS Cameron (12) & DD Kaitlyn (9).

Welcome Aboard there is a great group going on this cruise! My son Bobby will also be 15, my DD Catherine will be 12, (2 weeks shy of 13) and the little DS will be 11. If you are interested in participating in the FE (fish extender) exchange, let Kritter (Kristin) know, I believe she is in charge of it. There are a bunch of girls around your daughters age (including mine!!)
