Just booked Fanatsy for Nov 16 - no Palo or Remy Availability

Yes, they hold back about half the reservations. As you're boarding you'll find a "Navigator" (newsletter) which will tell you where to make dining changes and/or Palo Remy reservations.

I am not surprised since you are so close to the cruise date. Out of that 50%, some are held back for concierge guests only until the morning after you board. They are released at that time. If you still don't get a reservation, you can be placed on the waitlist & they will call you when someone cancels. Also, if you want dinner keep checking the DCL site. Confirmations are made for the private room around the 30-day mark. When that happens, any individual reservations for people who are included in the private room reservation are cancelled, which opens up spots online.

Do not worry about Remy. On Tuesday afternoon, we decided we'd rather miss pirate night than Halloween and called to seeing they had anything absorbed that evening. They did and even when we went, we noticed at least two empty tables.

We have done our last 3 cruises last minute VGT and Florida resident rates.
Each time we booked there was no availability online. I checked every morning and each cruise openings popped up within 2/3 weeks before we sailed.
