We didn't do Palo on our first DCL cruise in 2010 so we're going to do both dinner and brunch on our Wonder cruise this December.

We did dinner in July and loved it! Chocolate Souffle!!

I'm hoping to do both in February.

Brunch - plenty of selection so if you didn't like one thing you can try another and spicy sausage pizza it's simply amazing!

Brunch!

Why?

the sticky buns...the pizza...the breads...the desserts...the Chicken Parmesan!

If I had to pick one, it would be brunch. That way I don't miss an MDR at dinner, and I get to have the grape & gorgonzola pizza (not offered at dinner).

I did a Palo brunch and on my next cruise I'll be doing a Remy brunch. Both times on sea days. That allowed us to find times the kids would be occupied doing other things and we weren't missing out on some family type of thing.

Brunch - Lots of "smaller portion" items to try. LOTS AND LOTS of great food. Love the pizzas. Love the antipasto table, the "almost desert" table (sweet breads and more), the desert table and the sea food table. The entrees are also very good, but I could do without them (but don't / won't) because they are great like all of the rest of the food.

I also don't mind using 1 1/2 to 2 hours of the late morning / early afternoon for this "activity". Usually there are things going on in the evening that we don't want to miss, so we "skip" Palo dinners - usually. And we have had good luck with our tablemates and enjoy the evenings with them in the MDR's.

You can "sample" at Palo dinner too!! I wasn't sure I'd like something, so our server brought me a half order of what I knew I'd like and a half order of what I was wanting to try. Then another order when I liked it. :)

Brunch for sure, Why you ask, because we love the MDR rotations, lots of shows and things to do in the evenings, brunch in the late mroning is a great way to start the day with some awesome food! No real conflicts with the brunch time slot

Both are good, but for my money, dinner was the most enjoyable. Much of the brunch offerings didn't do anything for me, but there still was no lack of deliciousness. One thing I liked most about brunch was the daylight. Dinner was very romantic though and DELICIOUS. I'm hard to please too. ;)

Would it be weird to do both Palo Brunch and Dinner on the same day? Our Day at Sea on the Magic is Day 4. We were planning to do Palo for dinner that day because: #1 - it's wifey's birthday and #2 - it ensures we get to visit each restaurant.

It wouldn't be weird, but you might be too full from brunch to fully enjoy dinner.:rotfl:

I agree with you though, about wanting to experience each restaurant. My husband and I always book Palo for a different night than the brunch day, but, we dine @ Palo early (6:30) and go to our regular late seating in the MDRs. If you're booked for early seating, you could do the same, (coffee) and go to Palo later. We've been doing this for the past 10 cruises.:)
