Just an FYI in case you didn't know.. They are discouraging people from adding party tickets to their MDE account. When I was speaking to IT she was really emphatic about the fact that they want you to bring the actual ticket to the party. I guess you can't have two active tickets on your band or it really screws things up. I had already added them at that point.. and it made the two day tickets I had on my account disappear. Just a heads up that you'll want to have the actual ticket and that others were reporting that they weren't able to make FP+ selections for the parties.:)
The problem stems from the fact that the band itself cannot prioritize the tickets attached to it. What is happening is that people are trying to use their bands to enter MNSSHP, but their regular park passes get dinged for one day's admission instead. Just because your MNSSHP tickets are showing on MDE does not necessarily mean they are loaded onto your MB. There is also the fact that if you purchase MNSSHP tix online, they automatically link to your MDE account. My suggestion is this - use your MNSSHP hard tix to enter the party, DO NOT scan your bands (or even get them close to the scanner). Once you are safely inside, feel free to use your MB for meals, purchases, etc. Do that and you should have a trouble free party! Have a great time! My suggestion is this.

as promised, a few pictures from our recent stay Sep. 8 - 13

Thank you for posting your pictures. I really enjoyed them. :)

My DH and I can't wait to get back there again. :) I'm hoping that we get a chance to spend some time on this balcony. :goodvibes

Hello WL folks :) I asked this question awhile back and did not get a response so I will try it again....I know it has been asked before but I can not find it (I'm hoping to book a bounce back vaca next year when I go in December)
1.) Can anyone tell me a GREAT standard room number with nice view and location? (I'm hoping my hubby will go for this is the price is right)

Thanks!!!pixiedust: I'm soo excited I just can't stand it :cool1:

:welcome: to the DIS and the WL/VWL thread!

We're happy to have you all the way from Ireland.

We'd love a photo:)

:yay:

Glad you were able to change rooms and tonight you'll be able to see some of Wishes from your room!

It's a team effort at the OFC and CMs strive to go out of their way to make your stay special. Randy is very hands-on and his love of his job really shows. It's a very special and unique club level.

Since some have been asking, is the coffee machine in the lounge still Nescafe or is it now Joffery's?

Still the Nescafé machine. By the way, Randy says hi.

I was still planning on bringing the actual ticket.. I have AP's that are good for another 10 months.. So I don't think that should interfere.. But I always carry those cards too

Here may help you.. Honestly, I haven't stayed in a standard room in years.. I have always been upgraded.. So maybe ask for a location "near" a room you like, and hope for pixie dust

Thank you very much.....I don't know which room(s) I would like - I've never been :rotfl: My very first visit to wdw will be 12/6 and since this is our first I went with a woods view/bunk bed room - w/higher floor, possible view of wishes request.

But - this map will help a lot I can check them out while I'm there and see what I like .... Thanks, again! :dance3:

As many other guests with a standard room booked we were afraid to get one of the south-wing-standard views.

When walking to our room, we were able to see the balconies of these rooms as well as the view-blocking roof peaks from the hallway.

Some of these rooms probably provide the worst views on Disney property. All you can see is a roof. Trees in far distance.

When staying at WL again, then by booking woods our courtyard view. The risk of getting one of these rooms is too high.

Most of the balconies there had towels etc. on the chairs. I felt a little bad for those people because I guess most of them did not expect this "no-view". I do not understand why this is considered as standard, they should be bookable for less $$$

The scary views from the standard view rooms were enough to make me book woods view, too. :scared:

Our daughter had a perfect view of the castle and fireworks from room 6010, but it wasn't a bunk bed room. We had a really good view, too, although it was partially obscured by one tree branch. It was room 6018 and had two queens. But I'm pretty sure that someone reported that they had a bunk bed room in one of the rooms in between our two rooms, like maybe room 6014, 6012, or 6016. The closer to room 6010 you get, the better the view. :thumbsup2

Well we did it. We spilled the beans.::yes::
This trip was set to be a surprise, but my kids were asking..sometimes begging for us to book a trip EVERY day. We were all set to go in August and cancelled to bring our new puppy home. So I got the great idea to surprise them with this trip. It was becoming more and more apparent that while a surprise would have been exciting, the kids were missing out by not being able to be excited and anticipate the trip. Last week my 16 year old sent me a text with a list of 30 things she would give up for Disney (one of which was her brother:rolleyes2).
Today, my 9 year old was actually in tears saying "I don't even care if it's a year away, or two years away!! I just want to know we can go again one day."

So it was time. We sat them down and said "December 13th.. what is that day?"

Dd said "2 months after Thanksgiving". Ds said "12 days before Christmas".
We then said "Nope.. it's the day you leave for your trip to Disney World."

They FLIPPED OUT. Dancing, cheering, hugs and teary eyes!!!:cool1:
We then discussed all the details and looked at all of the Wilderness Lodge pictures in the photo thread. They are SO excited.

They are both glad we told them. So it's official..I can't keep a secret to save my life, but I have 2 ecstatic children!!! 75 days to go!!!!:cool1:

We can start our very own Wilderness Lodge Bean Spillers Club. Only it can't be a secret club, because we stink at that.:rotfl2::rotfl:

Great story!

Enjoy the 75 days of pre-trip excitement!

Are the only rooms with a perfect view of the castle those on the 6th floor? Or are there rooms on lower floors that have that perfect view as well? Would 5010 likely be just as good as 6010, for example? Not sure how much the tree coverage might differ from floor to floor. We would request 6th floor, but don't want an enclosed balcony!

I've only been to the WL once, so I don't know. But I am hoping 5010 would have a good view, too, since I want an open balcony next time. ;)

Yay for spilling the beans. i could never keep it a secret since I love to talk about it too much. And I found that the anticipation is half the fun of the trip. We once went on a trip to Disney at the last minute. We had one day to plan, pack and get on the road. But I missed the planning and anticipation of a Disney trip so much that I decided we would never do that again.
