Holiday Exchanges!

Today when I went shopping, I had seen some Halloween clothes for kids! I love the holidays, and enjoy hosting the holiday themed exchanges. Wanted to remind everyone that the first holiday exchange will start next month. I like to put together the exchanges early so that everyone is able to enjoy all their goodies for the holidays. Especially if you receive decorations, you can use them for not just a week or so, but a few weeks-a month before the holiday.

There will be the Halloween Exchange, Fall/Thanksgiving Exchange, Christmas Ornament, Christmas Present Exchange, and the Christmas Stocking Exchange. I will also be hosting a calendar exchange, and I had seen that there will be an exchange for our special pets for Christmas.

So keep checking back everyone if you are interested in participating in these future exchanges!

Am I the only one excited for the different holidays? For me, it does mean that things get to be way more hectic, the pressure of gift buying, .... but it also brings smiles to my kids, and myself.

What would you estimate the shipping dates would be for the Halloween exchange?

I'll be in the US from Sept 19 through Oct 5, so there is a possibility I could do this exchange with an American address.

I don't have exact dates for any of the holiday exchanges. But, thinking that since Halloween is on October 31st, sign ups will be in September, and shipping at the start of Oct. We could see if there is someone who is willing to send internationally, and able to work with your dates. If you sign up, just make a note of your dates in your pm to me.

I love the holidays!

On Wednesday our weather reached 77 for maybe 3 hours and just that little bit got me in the mood for the Fall. So, all my Fall decorations came out on Thursday. My house looks like a pumpkin patch with strategically placed scarecrows placed all around the house. I love it! Now just got to get my Fall candles (apple spice and pumpkin spice). Now if the weather will cooperate and start cooling off -- everything will be perfect.

The holidays exhaust me, but it's only because I feel so alve and pack in way too much for the family. We love the holidays in the Moose house and look forward to them every year.

Welcome to the exchange board. To join in, you would need to send the info. asked by the exchange host to them via a pm.

I see that you are a new member to the DIS board. Become, and active member to up your post count, and also to let us know that you are a member that will stick around. As you do more exchanges, you will get familiar with how they run, and get to know the rest of the exchangers better.

Keep checking back here on the exchange board to see what new exchanges are open or coming up.

There are no rules posted. Each host has their own rules which they list on the sign up thread. Then there are the basic rules of following through. Sending your package out on time, posting when you send it, posting when you get your exchange, ..... but if you have any questions, feel free to post here, or you can always send me or any other host a pm of questions.

Forgot to mention. If you have flaked in the past, that means you had signed up for an exchange, and did not follow through. The exchange hosts have a list of who flaked, and for what exchange it is. Exchanges are hosted by volunteer hosts, and exchanges are done at your own risk. But NO ONE likes it if someone who participates does not come through.

Also in your exchanges, no matter what exchange it is, be sure to tape your exchanges well so that things do not open up while it is being mailed.
