Disney gift cards

I am staying at the dolphin in in month. we have not bought our park hopper tickets yet but we are getting them when we check in. I'm guessing since the dolphin is not disney owned I cannot use a Disney gift card there to buy tickets correct? Also are disney gift cards good to use at the food and wine festival at Epcot.

You could go over to a Disney hotel or guest services at a park or DTD to buy your tickets and use the gift cards.

Don't know about F&W but I would expect yes at any booth that can scan credit cards. You may run into booths that are cash only, or which can only scan RFID cards and MagicBands.

You can apply the card to your hotel Balance. For the future you can redeem your rewards and get the card at DTD Guest Relations. You need the credit card and ID. Much faster and no worries about the mail.

We did use Disney Gift Cards at the F&W in 2011, at least at a few locations.

1. If you want to use Disney gift cards for tickets you can purchase them at the parks, DTD or at the guest services desk at any Disney owned resort. The International Gateway to Epcot is the closest park entrance to the Dolphin and the Yacht Club is the closest Disney resort. If you want to save a few dollars you can purchase tickets in advance from an authorized third party seller such as Undercover Tourist or AAA.

2. You are correct that you cannot use Disney gift cards at the Swan or Dolphin except in the Disney gift shop in the lobby.

3. Absolutely. In fact, when you go to the F&W festival you'll see a gift card with an elastic wristband that has the F&W logo on it.

I think you are referring to the Disney Visa credit card and the Disney Visa Rewards card, which are issued by Chase and are different from the Disney gift card.

Sorry..I was referring to the Visa card rewards and not to gift cards.

Thank you all so much for all the info! I'm just now getting notice that I got replies. I will be getting my tickets when I get there probably from Epcot international gate way. I have yet to buy my gift cards though. I will in the next week or so. Thank you again everyone.
