Boardwalk area?

We will be celebrating my son's 7th birthday while in Disney and we were thinking of going to Beaches and Cream one night. Is there anything else to do with kids in the Boardwalk area? Or would DTD be a better option with the balloon, lego store, etc.?

Downtown Disney does have more to do. There are always small shows, like a magician, but not as busy. It is eay to get to Beaches and Cream (and the Boardwalk) from Epcot, so the convenience is something to think about.

You may want to check out T-Rex at DTD. They have a bone yard that looks like fun, too.

The Boardwalk has a few carnival games, but I would think that there would be more fun things for kids at DTD.

Having just come back today from Beach Club and spending some time at the Boardwalk, I say go to TREX at DTD.
We were not impressed with Beaches n Cream....unless you want to get the kitchen sink. The place is really small and service was very slow. Forget the takeout line for icecream.....took us 40 min to get 2 ice cream cones Friday night around 9:30pm.

We really enjoy the Boardwalk area! There are carnival games (they only accept cash!), performers, surrey bikes, plus you can walk over to the Fantasia mini-golf course from there.

I like T-Rex, but I'm not a big DTD fan. I find it gets very crowded and it's mostly shopping.

I agree but I love beaches n cream and I especially love the kitchen sink that was our dinner for one night for our family of five. If you have not done the kitchen sink at least once you should. You can always go to beaches n cream and catch the bus to DTD after thats not a problem from either beach or yacht club.

Boardwalk for sure. DTD is always crazy crowded with Shoppers. :scared1::scared1:
