Okay everyone. Due to the Poly's controversial construction that may or may not be happening during our June 2014 trip (the possibilty of no pool is an absolute deal breaker for us), we've decided to choose a completely new resort to us. Boardwalk. Can my fellow DISers give me some of your advice/experiences? Can you request a certain area of the reosrt? I've looked at maps but they're not much help.

BWInn or BWVillas?

If you have a standard room, ask for a courtyard view toward Epcot, high floor.
If you have a Boardwalk view, ask for a room near elevator so you don't walk the long hall.

My favorite resort!

We stayed there last week for the first time. We were on the club level and had a view across Crescent Lake to YC......it was beautiful. Our room was very clean. My 11 yo loved the slide at the Luna Park pool......in the evening it was very easy to find a chair to sit and watch her go down the slide over and over again.

I hope you enjoy it.

I literally just booked BWI - DLX Club room for January... so excited! After much research I decided on taking the plunge for the bigger room and all day munchies access!!

How were the food options for the club level?? I just booked for January! so excited

You made a great choice IMO. We were booked at Poly for this Nov and switched to CL at BWI. We have stayed at BWI 2x before once in WV overlooking the Village green area and once in a std room over looking the front entrance.

The Std room was much quieter if that is a concern, but the WV room afforded us look at Wishes in the distance over YC and the entertainment on the BW in the evenings.

Both times we were on the 3rd floor not far from the elevator. The WV room had a huge balcony.

Excellant to hear everyones wonderful experiences. Looking forward to hearing more. I'm going to pour over that info thread and absorb as much as I can. The one thing that is confusing to me is, once again, is there any way to request a certain area of the resort? Of course every time we've stayed, I've always been able to request a certain building, or savannah, etc....It doesn't appear BWI is set up that way. Other than simply booking WV or GV is there any other way to place a request?:confused3

My friend and I stayed there earlier this month in a standard view room. I requested highest level with epcot view. I was told you can't but she would try.... we got room 5272 (im 99% sure that was it) and had a view of the world showcase and a fantastic view of illuminations.
I seriously tried talking the family to switch to BWI for our Oct trip in hopes of a room in the same location b/c I loved it so much. :rotfl:

Something worth nothing ..... If booking a Std Room and requesting upper floor facing Epcot You may want to also put in a request for a Balcony as there are 3-4 Std rooms on 5th Floor that Do Not have a balcony, just a window.

We are dvc members and love bwv. The best room I think we had was pool view. It was second floor and right off behind the slide to the right. It was nice because even when the pool was crowded it was not really loud.

We go down in a few weeks and have a standard room. We love being able to walk to Epcot or Dhs

Good to know! I've been reading the Boardwalk thread listed earlier and I think I've got it narrowed down. I was interested in the block of rooms closest to the lobby, but just wasn't sure of how to word it. I'll be booking a standard view room, and from what I gather I need to request a "boardwalk greens" view. Does anyone have any experiences with this view?
