Split Stays-2 Sets of Magic Bands?

Hi Everyone!

I'm staying at POP next Friday-chosen for Magic Bands and ordered them and also next Sat/Sun at YC- also chosen for Magic Bands and ordered them.

We ordered POP first and YC an hour later...got our YC ones first two days ago and the POP ones still say- customized will ship to your confirmed address or resort.

Someone had said you only get one set for 2.5 years but another Diser posted that she has 3 sets of magic bands for their upcoming stay.

Anyone else have multiple magic bands for split stays and did they arrive at the same time?!

I have no answers but I have the same question. We have 2 sets to customize but it seems silly to need 2 for the same trip. Also,5 the ff+ dates start on the second half of our trip yet we get MB for both reservations.

A friend of mine at CSR said that you get a new magic band for each new reservation. And when you check in you can pick which one you want to be active. She said they will last for 2.5 years but you will get a new one for each new resort reservation. If you have DDP for split stay and use the same band, it will take from your first DDP first then start with the new one but you still have to use the first before midnight the day you check out.

So do you have to order both sets? I should give them a call anyways because DH is listed on our poly reservation for the MB twice and our friend is missing. On the real reservation everyone is listed right.

My family and I are staying at 3 different resorts for our stay, but were requested to customize Magic Bands for only 2 out of the 3 resorts. We are staying at WL, BC and AKL.
WL is the only resort that I wasn't able to customize the Magic Bands. Not sure why?

WL isn't a part of the test yet I don't think..that would be why but you can use one of your other bands at WL.

Today I called IT to clean up some stuff on MDE and the CM told me that we are getting two sets of MBs (split stay) only because its the testing phase. When it all becomes official you will only have 1 even if you have split stays. I'm glad I asked because I hadn't customized or anything for the second part of our stay because I thought we were going to use the same ones.

So you will still get a new one each trip but if you have split stays you will only get one?

We just returned from a split stay and had received 2 set of MagicBands. We were able to use the first set for the entire trip and never used the second set at all.

As of this morning, our POP magic band's status says they will be delivered to the front desk. My friend at CSR said they are trying all "scenarios" and that's probably why they never shipped. We'll see if our colors are waiting for us on Friday!
