Zombies at CRT

OP, i checked ypur link and think ths costume in itself is cute and ok. I would just be concerned with the blood part. Maybe I have over sensitive kids, but I would be a bit ticked having to explain to my younger kids what the blood is or is not and explain what a zombie is. My kids won't do haunted mansion ( darkness and ghosts freak them out) and I wouldnt want them to have to see walking dead kind a zombies while at CRT.
Just wanted to stress I think the costume is cute, for the sake of small kids who have never seen a zombie, skip out on the blood and anything deathlike.


I can explain to my kids a ghost is someones body in spirit from. Or pirate with blood got hurt while sword fighting. But IMO it's too much to explain to my little ones a bloody zombie is a dead person, not really dead, that feeds off of undead people.

The one thing that came to mind to me are the families sitting nearest to you. Your ADR time is early enough that many families will still be there for a regular meal, not anticipating Halloween party extras. If this was a once in a lifetime trip to CRT, I would probably be sad if in the background of all my pictures of my little princess with her favorite princesses is a table of zombies. I also think zombies can sometimes be scarier to kids than a monster, etc because they seem more "real". My DS loves ghosts and the HM is his favorite ride, but he would be scared of bloody zombie costumes.

If we're being honest, I'd be really peeved if we sat next to people at CRT dressed like that because my almost 2 year old would spend the whole time going 'oh no! scary!" and it would probably distract her greatly from the princesses that we are spending $$$$ to meet at the meal.

Looking at the costumes you linked to, they look easy enough to carry in and put on after dinner, although the shoulder pads for the football player might be hot and uncomfortable as the night wears on. There are lockers where you could stash the costumes which is what many party goers will do.

Honestly, the atmosphere at CRT is so chaotic (with all the princesses and such) that I have never paid attention to another guest. Go and have fun with it, OP! I think most little princesses there will be distracted by the real princesses to pay any attention to you. Unless you are a great makeup artist (not trying to imply you're not!) I'm sure a zombie is just going to look like an old person in torn clothes to most little kids. LOL. Even the MNSSHP parade has zombies in it!

So, you wouldn't notice a family of zombies ?

I started reading this thread thinking that it would be kinda cute, but I have come to think that maybe it might be too scary for some of the little girls who are there for their once-in-a-lifetime Castle meal. Sometimes what you do is not all about you and what would be fun for your family but more about how your actions may effect other families. I wouldn't be able to do it if I thought it would ruin another family's experience.

Whoops! I see that you are leaning against doing it. I think that's a good choice .

I would be concerned that Disney wouldn't approve and even allow you in the park in the first place? I don't know.
I have only been to 1 of these parties and no one was dressed as anything scary or Zombie like at all.

I would be concerned about other children. Especially special needs children. The rule is nothing scary so parents aren't expecting to have to explain scary even if it doesn't seem scary to you or your kids it might to others.

Universal Studios sure, Disney nope I wouldn't do it. Not worth it IMO of maybe ruining another families time in the castle or in the park period.

My DD was terrified of costume characters when she was about 2. I remember about that time she cut her finger on the frame of a silhouette we had made in Liberty Square. We were at first aide to get a bandaid and Mickey made a special trip into the examining room to see her. She didn't want anything to do with him! The whole Halloween party would have been too much for her and a family of zombies would have ruined her whole day .

They have laced on the nothing scary part. Last year I saw a whole family of bloody gory characters (little girl had fake knives and blood, little boy grim reaper, and dad was the scream guy, mom just looked like a bloody punk rocker) I was honestly shocked to see that they were let in!

I'm saying "Go for it!", but mainly because we have a 5:30 ADR for CRT that night and I want to see your costumes!

I say go for it. You are at MK on a day that has MNSSHP so people will expect costumes - or they should, at least. Those costumes are not over the top so I wouldn't want to have to alter it because other families may have to explain to their kids what Halloween costumes are.
