Current online check-in options for YC?

I have a water/pool view room, but since I am going solo and will be in the room more, I booked this for the water or boardwalk view from the balcony specifically. Can anyone tell me if I can specify water, not pool in online check-in?

Alternatively, I will arrive around 11am to check-in and in either case I am happy to wait for it.

I don't know what the online check in options are. It is best to call and have any room requests added to your reservation. You can be much more specific when calling and adding your requests.

I booked through a 3rd party website this time, so to do so I would have to call their customer service, who would then try to get disney on the phone, and it just sounds like a huge pain so I would like to avoid that if at all possible

The last time someone reported the online checkin options for the Yacht Club, they were

Near Transportation
Lower Floor

So calling in, either directly to Disney or through the third party travel service, is the only way to register the request in advance. I don't know how many lagoon/Boardwalk views there are vs. pool view only at the Yacht Club.

Your plan to tell them you are willing to wait for a room that meets your preference for the view you want at actual check-in is a good strategy

IIRC the options were, near transportation, upper floor, lower floor and whether or not you prefer your room to be ready early over getting your requests.

I forgot that part about overriding the requests if you want your room to be ready. I'll ask over on the FAQ about if others have received both upper/lower floor options recently.

I just did my online checkin for YC (Oct 18-20), and got both the options to check upper or lower floor. I was glad, as I always prefer upper floor - hopefully I'll get it!

We just checked in last week for our Oct trip at the YC and we were given the option of:

Ground Floor
Near Transportation
Lower Floor
Upper Floor

We chose ground floor and near transportation for our 2 requests. I think your choice of requests depends on which resort your staying at and how far in advance you checkin from your reservation date.

I noticed that there is something new in the online checkin, where you can forgo your 2 requests above, for any room that becomes available close to your checkin time.

I think this is a good idea for people who arrive earlier and may not necessarily care where their room is, but rather that its ready for their arrival.
