Thanks guys for all your support.

Dee: love that Ravens shirt! My husband is from Baltimore. :)

Ben played flag football for the Ravens and he really loves that shirt.

Although I have to be clear that our allegiance remains with our Patriots!

:cheer2:

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying the YC!

Now, when I told you to have a good trip... :sad2:

I am so sorry for your loss! Our furry companions are such an important part of our families

:grouphug:

Enjoy your time here! Tomorrow is supposed to be very nice- getting hotter later in the week.

We had a really great day yesterday. I am fortunate to have an incredible family- we all get along well and enjoy our annual reunion.

Dee, do I see a Ravens shirt on your son? FOR SHAME!!! :headache:

P.S. My son is a Dolphins fan. I don't know where I went wrong!!

Got some clarification on the new mugs.

There are indeed installed and they are selling them. It's not officially started yet though.

The prices listed before are correct. A chip is on the bottom on the mugs. If you purchase a one day mug at 9 PM Sunday night, it stops working in three hours. Midnight is the cut off time ... doesn't matter when you purchase them.

The "length of stay" mugs are really 14 day mugs. Let's say you check in today at the BC and purchase the length of stay mug. It's good at any Disney resort (and now they are saying only resorts, not water parks) for 14 days. So you can do split stays, you can go on a 3 day cruise and come back and for 14 days, your mug works. If your reservation is for 17 days, you bring the mug back to merchandise on the 14th day and they will reprogram it for the next 3 days. They can "read" the chip that is on the mugs so they can tell the day you purchased it, etc. As far as loosing one, you MUST show your receipt.

You cannot microwave these mugs. It fries the chip. If you bring it back to merchandise with a fried chip, then you are out of luck, receipt or not.

There is also a regular old cardboard cup that can be purchased for a few dollars. It is good for 2 hours and/or 4 refills. It also has a chip on it.

The dispensers only dispense 12 ounces at a time and once you use your mug for a fill-up, you cannot get another fill-up for 2-1/2 minutes.

More tomorrow...

OUCH!!! Be Careful and have fun!!

Off topic: my 13 1/2 year old dog, Bubba, passed away today in his sleep. We'll miss him so much.

Sorry about Bubba my thoughts are with you and your family.

Although I have to be clear that our allegiance remains with our Patriots!

I was gonna say.... I thought you were all Pats fans!

Got some clarification on the new mugs.

Wow is all I can say about those mugs...

4 weeks from today we will be staying at BC for the first time, and I can't wait. This was a last minute change from our regular family trip resort, the Poly, and I hope I made the right decision! Took me months to convince hubby to try it out, he loves being on the monorail.

Can anyone tell me what time they do the movie on the beach at BC? Thanks!!

Hey Teena,
Had a great 5 days in Vero and we will be by the Beach Club tomorrow.

Teena, thank you for this. I copied this and posted it in a thread with questions about split stays and how it would work. I hope that's okay.

I do have one question that hopefully you can answer. If we have a split stay with the first part having the Dining Plan and the second part being room only. Since the mug is included with the Dining Plan, is it only good during the portion of the trip that we actually have the Dining Plan? Or is it good for our entire stay?

Thanks!

Teena,

Just wanted to say thanks for chatting with my girls and hubby this morning as I waited at the desk. They loved talking with you and trading pins. Sorry we didn't get much of a chance to chat. After we returned from the MK, we hoped to freshen up and visit again, but we had to run out for dinner.

Not sure but from what they said, the mugs that you get with the dining plan are programmed just for the length of the dining plan and would run out at midnight on the day your dining plan is over. So I would assume that means your second portion of the trip being room only, the mugs would not work and you'd have to pay for another one. But that's just my assumption after all they told me today.

That is kind of my assumption also. Thanks for passing on this information.

Hello all!!! I'm here at the YC CL... It is AWESOME. :) The room is slightly bigger than the one we had at BC, and the fact that the balcony door slides instead of opens makes the room seem even bigger.

Forgive my ignorance, but this is my first time staying at the Beach Club! Do the balcony doors not slide at the BC?

Had a pretty good day at HS today even though RnR was down for the AM and Fantasmic was cancelled due to weather. Fwiw, for all of you planning Fastpass + for your upcoming trips, definitely worth trying to get one for Fantasmic but not worth it for LMA.
