Bumping up the second part of your question... I think others have posted that there are stairs convenient to the secret entrance end of the resort- can someone confirm?

Does anyone know if there are some lagoon view rooms with full balcony in that general area? My best guess is that in the hallway that runs between the Marketplace and the Secret Exit, you would find a room of that description.
Yes, there is a staircase at the secret entrance. It is a fire door and all of those exit doors have staircases. We used them all the time.

As far as balconies go, the end of the BC that has that exit, near room 1501, is only three floors tall and has a weird layout. As you can see from the pictures, the second floor rooms have standing balconies.

Those corner rooms are deluxe rooms.

Not sure if anyone will know the answer to this. If you don't see a response in a day or two- try reposting your question.

Do you have any upcoming trip or did you recently return? I wonder if housekeeping would be able to get the answer for you during a trip? Not sure how to get in touch with them from home, though.

Good luck.

:thumbsup2

They could try asking the question over in the DVC forum. They might know the answer to that question over there. :)

Just went down to get my morning tea in the YC lobby and the new mug program started today... Of course they let me use the one I already purchased but starting today only the new mugs are for sale. They are the save as the old ones except in new color lids and handles.

You've answered one of the biggest questions (after Magicbands) we've had lately! :) I'm a little bummed we've come and gone, because I would have liked new colors.

I wanted to know if YC had a pumpkin carving contest for the CMs? I had stayed at AoA last year in October & they had it there. It was so adorable & the pumpkins were really creative.

Well, I'm officially done...ran around all day today & finally finished packing! Not sure how much sleep I'll actually get but we have an early rise to catch our plane so off to bed I go. So exhausted but very excited...won't be long now :goodvibes

Have a wonderful trip!

Can anyone currently staying at the BC check if the new mugs have started there yet? Thanks:goodvibes

Question

I've just been reading through the list of room amenities and wondered do all rooms have Robes or only those that are designated as CL? We had robes last year in our room 4137 with King Bed so would this be used as a CL room on occasion?

Great! Just in time for our trip!!

Is this the mugs with the RFID tags? And is the refill station operating? And if so, what is offered through the refill station? Soda, juice, coffee? Sorry for so many questions!

I am sure others are going to ask: what colors?

Thanks!

I am an AP holder and I have my Magic Band currently ordered for the Sept trip!

~N

At the present time I only have the certificate that I have to trade in for my AP at one of the Guest Services. Will I get a Magic Band there or can I order a Band and have it activated when I get at the park (along with my certificate)??? Just want to get a Magic Band (can you tell) :dance3::dance3:

It is the World Showcase Events Pavilion. They use it for special events. We have been in there a few times. One of them was when they held a dinner for the runners the night before the marathon. I was never at F&W, but I'm sure someone who has been there can fill you in, if they happen by, that is. :)

During F&W it's used for The Party for the Senses. It's a wonderful event.

I would assume it's going to be at least a week or so before they "turn on" the machines. If someone checked in Friday or Saturday and bought an old mug they wouldn't be able to get a drink.

Thanks so much. I think we just ask for a room near 1501 - if it's first floor, it's better than not having a full balcony. I appreciate the pics, they definitely help!!

I honestly have no idea if you can :confused3.. If I were you I would call and ask not that I think anyone there really knows how they are really going to work, but all they can say is I don't know or tell you how to go about it. Keep in mind this is all still in the testing phase as far as I know. I'm wondering what happens for my next 2 trips.. will I use the same band or will I have to get another?!? When I was there last month I was sitting at the bar at HH's talking to the woman who was behind the bar and she was on the team that is rolling out the magic bands and she told me not to be surprised if I had the magic band for September and that it would probably work for the remaining trips! So we shall see!!

Good luck!!

Yes they have. We checked in this morning and just went to get our mugs as we have a package. They did scan each mug and explained how they will work for the length of our stay. We ate at POR for lunch and they have them already as well. While I do like the fact that you can get refills at any resort CS with these mugs, the downfall is that I was told they will no longer work once we check out. I'm going to ask someone else to confirm this. If this is the case, it will stink for those who check out but still have the day to hang out at the resort due to later flights.

And the colors are purple, green and orange...

Urgh we have had problems with our train journey today, stuck at Easingwold for an hour because of a points failure less than an hour from home! Then we find out after the journey began again another 7 trains were delayed behind ours. Then we were told that our train wasn't going all the way to the airport because it was so late. They wanted a quick turnabout so it could make up some time going back to Middlesbrough. We had to haul our cases across Manchester Piccadilly up and down flights of stairs as they had no lifts, so we could eventually get here at the hotel just outside the airport via the shuttle bus. Just trying to chill out before tomorrow.

On the upside we met and chatter to a lovely lady called Julie and her sun Nathan who were also on the train , she used to live in Florida and she was stressed out with all the problems today we hopefully helped to calm her nerves a little and helped her navigate across the railway station with their cases. DH gave her and her son some assistance with those since they were heavy and it's just the kind of guy he is. We wished her a pleasant journey for tomorrow they are flying to Barbados .

Keeping our fingers crossed that this bad luck is now over, see you all soon.

Word of warning for any New Englanders who are excited to see the lobster/seafood roll on the menu at Hurricane Hannas.....it is NOT what we are used to. It looks delicious, and im a seafood fanatic, but i couldnt eat it. It is very citrusy and some other weird flavors, not at all the buttery/mayonnaisey goodness we have at home. :(

I have issued this warning before....:rotfl2:

It's definitely not like any lobster roll I had ever had....:crazy2:

I didn't finish mine either. :upsidedow

If you have a certificate, add it in under my disney experience as an older ticket purchased before February. It should have a second barcode number under the confirmation barcode that will work. That's what I did! Staying in the Beach Club in September! We have FP+ and MagicBands that should arrive tomorrow!

I'll try it- can't hurt right? Our trip isn't until December, hopefully all the 'bugs' will be worked out by then!!!

Thanks for the warning! I am very picky about my seafood, as I grew up in New England and never had frozen seafood until I started moving around the country.

I think I read somewhere that there is one at the Boardwalk that is better.
