Celebrating The 3rd Anniv of My 29th BDay with Disney Magic - Sept 2013 *TR STARTED!*

Well, well, well. Here I am again attempting my hand at another PTR. I always feel like I cannot even compare to some of the amazing Trip Reporters on here but I do like to try and I love sharing my pictures with everyone so I hope to keep whoever decides to tag along here captivated. This PTR will be short since we are only a short 31 days to our trip!

See?? This proves it!



This trip has had all sorts of ups and downs already just in the planning stages. First we were planning on going with some friends in October and then I had a scare that I was going to lose my job so we all canceled that trip. Then I didn't lose my job so we rescheduled for free dining in September just to save some money. And now we are still going in September but without those other people tagging along which is just fine. The point is we are STILL GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!

So as stated in my title, we are going to be there for the 3rd anniversary of my 29th birthday and also to celebrate my DH's birthday (he's a year older than me hahaha!).

When: September 12th - 21st

Where: It's our very first time staying to stay HERE



I absolutely cannot wait!!

So since I'm currently "working" (haha) I think I'll leave this here for now and introduce the cast either later on this evening or tomorrow as I "work" some more

Yay thanks for coming over Kristy! Haha I'm not gonna dodge anyone. They might have even canceled their trip. Idk but I'm not too worried about it. WDW is huge so I can't imagine running into anyone we know there

Thank you! Awesome! I've heard lots of good things about that resort. We've never stayed there before.

That's a shame that we'll be missing y'all by just a day. That seems to be happening a lot with multiple people I know. Going down there so close to us but not overlapping at all.

Ok I guess I better introduce the cast of this trip before we get much farther into this PTR.

A little bit about our little triangle: DH and I got married in 2003 so we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this past May. After many years of trying and fertility treatments, Alex came along to join us in December 2010. Life has been so much fun ever since he entered our lives. We live in North Metro Atlanta but our hearts are always in Orlando with Mickey.

First up is me. My name is Carla. I was born and raised in South Florida (Boca Raton to be exact) and transplanted to NE GA at the age of 12. My Grandmother lives in Lake Placid, FL which is only 2 hours South of Disney so my sister and I would go and visit her every summer and she would take us to see Mickey every time we went to visit her. I grew up with the love of all things Disney thanks to her. I have many fond memories of visiting the parks with her and my sister so I want my DS to have the same kinds of memories. My favorite Disney Character is Stitch. My favorite princess is Ariel. And my favorite Disney movie is Lilo & Stitch. Ohana is the one thing in this life that I will always have and will always be able to rely on. As stated on this PTR Title I will be celebrating the 3rd Anniversary of my 29th birthday on this trip. We haven't been to WDW in September since 2008 so I'm very excited to be here for my birthday again and Halloween festivities.

Here's a pretty recent picture of me that I don't mind sharing.

Next up is my rock and better half, Chris. He didn't grow up loving Disney like me but I introduced him to it when we were newly engaged in 2001 and he has been drinking the Disney Kool-Aide ever since. We honeymooned there and have been going once or twice a year with a year or two in between sometimes since we were married. He has a very stressful job so he really relies on his Disney break every year to keep him sane. His favorite Disney Character is Prince John and his favorite Disney movie is Robin Hood. He will be turning 33 on this trip.

And last, but certainly not least, the one that this trip is really all about , my DS Alex. He will be 3 months shy of turning 3. He loves all Disney-Pixar movies. His favorites right now are Monsters Inc, Cars, Wreck It Ralph and Up. He has already been to WDW twice now. First time at 14 months and second time for his 2nd birthday last December. First trip he wasn't so sure about the characters but the second trip he just couldn't get enough of them and begged to meet each character he saw throughout our days at the parks. He's also a champ on all the rides but his favorite last trip seemed to be Figment. I cannot wait to go with him on this trip and see how much more he loves the rides and characters.

As for us, Ken got promoted and is head of the grocery dept. i have lost 4 dress sizes and my cycles are returning to normal. No babies yet, but we are going to try again soon.
