This time next week will be checking in for my solo trip and to make use of my annual pass before it expires.

90 days til we get to Pop. It has been almost two years since we have been to the world and last time we stayed I a suite at all star music. Can't wait to be back at Pop. We'll be there nov 11-21.

Is the 50's section the first to be done? We are staying preferred and I am hoping our room has already been done.

Just checked out of POP this morning. Was in 50s section building 1. I did not have a working fridge nor saw any being delivered or put in rooms. Ice machine was fine though! Hopefully new fridges will be in rooms soon.

Had a wonderful 1st time stay at POP on 7/31-8/2. We stayed in the 70's building room 0310.

I'm so sorry to hear that, my SIL is fighting lung cancer right now for the 2nd time. I'll say a prayer for you all and hope that you get to enjoy your trip. Sounds like you all need to get away for awhile in the Disney "bubble".

Thank you, hubby & I agree that the trip would be therapeutic to ourselves & children. We are praying that the timings don't cross. I am sorry about your sil, I will keep her in my prayers..

Thank you! I cannot find ponchos at WalMart. I read they were recalled. I could only find the Coleman's brand at Target, and they were $11/each.

My local Walmart still has them. .88 in the camping dept.

Checking in on the 5th Sept, and the Magic Band customise option has appeared in my online account .

Just did our online check in for 9/25. So excited as it will be our daughters first trip. I requested 70s section and lake view hoping to be away from the pools for some quiet but still close to transportation (also bringing my parents who are moving a little slower these days). Thoughts on the requests? I'm a little concerned we may end up in the back of the 80s with the lake view. Having stayed there before IMO it's a bit of a hike to the busses and food court. Ok with 60s or 50s though.

We're right behind you! 66 days We are also planning on getting ours at walmart like we did last time. The cheap disposables are nice as we ride splash or Kali etc..get it wet..then just throw it in the trash! And we have another ready to go when needed. They are so small they are easy to carry.

In the My Disney Experience Account, on the default page after logging in.

The top side of the screen under "Here's where to start" had the option to customise Magic Bands.

Magic Bands also show up on the Magic Bands & Cards option on my account.

The last time I went to disney I was 19, my parents planned everything, and we stayed off site. Now I'm 32 with a husband and 2 kids. This is OUR 1st time going, and my parents are coming too. All the planning is on me. We have 2 standard rooms booked at POP and I see so many people requesting certain buildings/views. Is this something I should be worried about doing? Also, if we get there too early to check in will there be a place to leave our luggage so it's not strapped to the top of our car outside? Thanks!

You can leave your bags with luggage assistance if you'd like. Otherwise, I think I'd just move them from the roof of your car to the interior and lock the car. You won't really be arriving too early for "check in" unless you're arriving before 6:00 a.m. You can always check in, but they might not have rooms ready for you. In our several times staying at Pop, we've gotten rooms as early as 10:00. YMMV.

With regard to selecting a certain room or view, I always like getting a lake view room because, to me, they are quieter. I also like to have a ground floor room. Otherwise, I'm not picky about the decade we're assigned to. A lot of people are concerned about distance to the food court and busses. I find the resort to be very walkable and, barring physical limitations of any in your party, I wouldn't worry about that. From the furthest building, we were able to walk to Classic Hall within about 5 minutes.

On My Disney Exp account page I see a "Manage MagicBands" option. When I click on it it just says I may need to link it to my reservation. When I tried to link it to my reservation it said it already was.

Does this mean I have them but just can't customize them yet?

This is actually what is says when you click on the Manage MagicBands link

Don't See All Your MagicBands and Cards?Unless you have an order currently in process, you may still need to link them to your account

We're right behind you! 66 days We are also planning on getting ours at walmart like we did last time. The cheap disposables are nice as we ride splash or Kali etc..get it wet..then just throw it in the trash! And we have another ready to go when needed. They are so small they are easy to carry.

We will be there at the same time. Myself,DH, and DD(4) arrive in 66 days also. It's our first stay at Pop and if I could do a backflip I would...I'm THAT excited, LOL. I've started getting all our halloween decor ready so our window and door at POP will be festive and spooktacular
