I'm excited for you! :goodvibes How old are your girls? They will be so excited! In 2011, we surprised our kids using a pizza, an idea I read about....We had our local pizze shop make a pizza in the shape of Mickey's head. The pizza shop was excited to be part of it. :)

My little one will turn 3 about 3 weeks before we go and my older one will turn 7 two days after we get there :). We have dinner set up at Cinderella's castle on her birthday, she is going to love it! I haven't decided yet how to tell them, but I want to wait as long as possible. I'm a little nervous about the school being pissed about me pulling her out for a week, but she's really smart and its 1st grade. It's not like she has reached the point where I can't help her anymore ;)
 
I am so excited and have to share. My OCD regarding dining reservation has paid off. I just scored a table for 6 at BOG for 12/2. Couldn't believe there was an opening

I keep trying for the reservations I still need. No luck yet...someone has to cancel 'Ohana and Chef Mickey eventuallythough!

Just returned from our camping trip and catching up on all the news. Congrats to everyone who was able to get their FD, I am so happy for you all :cool1:

Our dates & resort don't fall in the FD but read about people having luck emailing Disney so am going to plead my case to them ... hoping some pixie dust gets sprinkled our way or we may have to cancel the trip :sad:

I went on-line this morning like i have been for 2 weeks trying to get POR for our Nov dates and what happened today there was a garden view room open!!!!! tried to book it right away!!! got all the way to the last step review and purchase (CC info already put in on the screen before.) and click purchase and what happens.......An error occurred while processing your order. Please try again later or contact us if the problem continues. I call right away they say nope no rooms talked to guest services "no rooms nothing i can do for you". Am i really out of luck? I still have the last screen up with the info showing i have the room at POR. Is there anyone else i can call?

A few people have had some luck emailing -- read up a few pages and you'll see it. Might be worth a shot for this situation? I wonder if the error was because someone else booked it right before you? And in that case, first come--first serve? But that really stinks. To get your hopes up and then nothing? Not very magical.

I just tried booking POR October 18-22 and free dining doesn't happen -- I tried online, suggestions or advice appreciated.

Same thing happened to me last week. Then the next day I found the availability again and was able to do it myself online. When I called a little while later to cancel my original reservation, the CM scolded me and said I should have called to change the reservation. He had no answer when I told him I tried to do that only to have the availability disappear while on hold!:headache:

We had ress at whispering canyon that day after going to ak since that park closes early but haven't heard to many positive reviews. Figured on going to hs that night to see the Osborne Christmas lights so I took a 4:45 ress there.

Funny I just cancelled a lunch today with fantasmic package while rearranging my ADR's yet again. I thought the menu looked really good myself...I hope I don't regret it!

We ate there our last trip (2008) and have ADR again for our December trip. We all liked it and I had very picky eaters when we went before :)
