Hi all,

We are on the last two med cruises of the season in a couple of weeks time and I just wondered if anyone has already done a b2b in the med this year and what the procedure was on change over day please?

Many thanks for any info:thumbsup2

meet a ship's officer at I think it was 9 and be escorted off the ship and straight to check in and get new KTTW. Then wait for a bit and re-board between 10-1030ish. Cove Café and pools were open on reboarding.

Or else you can leave the ship in the morning, go sightseeing and return whenever before the all aboard time.

If you check the Med planning thread, Cindy did a B2B this summer. I can't remember her DIS name though. She has a blog. Just search "Cindy" in the thread and it should come up.

Hi. They will give you a letter a day or two before with specific instructions. What we had to do was meet in Sessions at 9:30, then we all went off as a group. They swiped our kttw cards as we left. Then we went into the port terminal and through to where you check in. As long as you aren't cast members or family of cast members, they go ahead and check you in for the second cruise. I am not sure why there is that distinction, but they asked us two different times during the process. Anyway, check in was easy and they gave us a green boarding card. We then waited in the boarding area where they were just beginning to set up the chairs since the luggage had all been claimed. We were back on board around 10:30. So actual waiting around was about 45 minutes. After we reboarded, we went to our cabin (we moved next door and our stateroom host helped us move our stuff earlier) and unpacked, then wandered around the nearly empty ship until people started boarding and lunch was ready.

Ame and her family had B2B the week before we did. She said to just relax and hang out onboard before going to Sessions... No need to go super early. So we used the time to say goodbye to our new friends as they were waiting for late breakfast. The boys also played Monopoly in the Promenade Lounge until time to go.

It is weird after the new group gets on because you don't recognize people... It's like who are these people on my ship and where did my friends go? But no worries, by the end of the first night, you will start recognizing them :)

Hi,
We did the B2B right after Cindy's. We had the same experience :) it was very well organized. We got our letter the night before and met at Session at 9:30. There was about 25 -30 of us....Around 9:30 we were escorted off and re-checked really quick and back on. The best part of it was the empty ship...we took tons of pictures and the kids enjoyed the empty pool. Our cabin was ready at 11, so I was able to unpack by 12:30 and go for lunch - that is when everyone started to board the ship.... We also got a nice note from DCl thanking us for doing b2b and felt like celebrities the second cruise, because most of the staff knew us. You are going to have a blast! Enjoy :)
