Coronado Fans-PLEASE POST WITH REVIEWS & RECENT PHOTOS!

Under ANY other circumstances than the one when we were there in December, I would say yes (I think our second of ten stays we had a room near there). Unfortunately, we were with the Pop Warner kids in December and they were in the pool at 1 a.m.--we were NOT happy campers.

Thank you both! Can I ask if you liked that location???

 Maybe... just maybe! :hyper:

I liked the entire resort. But I didn't stay in Casitas. I was staying in Cabanas. (LOVE Cabanas) :lovestruc This was taken while we were walking all the way around the lake. :)

Hi Coronado lovers ! We are panning on staying in a business level room next month. What are your thoughts about it and the cabanas 9b ??

We will be staying at CSR during pop warner this dec. Were the teams just in the Casitas area or scattered throughout the resort? If they are just in the Casitas I will be requesting a room in the Cabanas section as we have a two year old who will need to be able to sleep.

Somewhat of an odd question but any advice for enjoying this resort in February?

We were there Feb 2012, LOVED it !!!

I don't know that there is advice to give at all, or anything special you have to or should do ...

Keep in mind it MIGHT be chilly, we had great weather though, high 70s low 80s.

Maybe make sure to put in a room request for the area you want (if you haven't booked one already) ... We loved the Cabanas section, just fantastic.

Be sure to try and enjoy the resort, relax in a hammock, read a book. Hop in the hot tub and chill out. If you like volley Ball and or adult bevies ... make sure to hit up both at the dig site pool. They have great beach v-ball courts.

I would honestly be surprised if they put them in the Casitas. I mean, they're not the same thing as a conference. Ranchos seems like the perfect place for them, especially considering it's (I'd bet 50 bucks) the least popular section for regular guests to request. Perhaps try calling to see if you can find out where they'll be placed, then plan accordingly? They should know well in advance, since it was likely booked as a few large blocks of rooms.

We just checked in today and I was disappointed. This is our first time here at this resort and our room was disgusting. There was toe nail clippings on the floor and dirty bedding. The fridge was out of order also. We informed the front desk and housekeeping came to clean up the toenails, they gave us new bedding (that I had to put on myself), and management did bring us a working fridge. I can't help but feel like this whole room is dirty and we have our 20 month old with us. We are here until next Sunday so we will see how it goes.

If you read around the board you will see that WDW discovered they had faulty fridges that needed to be recalled/replaced at ALL of thier resorts. Most rooms at WDW do not have a working fridge right now, this has nothing to do with CSR. You are lucky they brought you a working one.

I already knew about this situation prior to our trip and spoke to 5 different members of the reservation center withing 10 days of my check in who promised we would have one. So after 5 calls assuring us we would have one and then getting to our room after travelling all day seeing we didn't have one, was a let down. I'm glad they corrected it quickly but that in conjuction with the other problems we had all around made the 1st night disappointing. We are on our 3rd day stay here and it's been great.

Unfortunately one of the downsides to how Disney handles their reservations, you never get to talk to someone at the actual resort. Even when you call from your room it goes to a call center. If you have any other problems go over to the front desk, they handle things instantly if you ask there.

We stayed in Casitas 4 for our last trip and I would have to say we liked it better than our previous trip at Casitas 5. As for why, it was so nice to have the large quiet pool very close by. Made it much easier if you had to head back to the room for forgotten items or a trip to the bathroom. We were also a little closer to El Centro which was less than 5 minute walk away. It was much closer to the busstop out in the parking lot which was the first pickup and we always got a seat! We were there during the most busy time of Easter vacation break as well.

We returned last week from a wonderful stay at CSR! We loved it there and were sad to leave after 3 nights b/c we had a split stay at AOA with family. Check in for us was lengthy. Somehow they had us down for 2 rooms and they were trying to sort things out. I had prepaid the package so I knew I had paid for only one. It was 10 at night and we were pretty tired. Anyway, we ended up in ranchos even after our check in CM asked his manager for some pixie dust for us b/c we had been standing there for so long. The manager told him on the phone that only ranchos was left. I plotted to call in the morning b/c there was no way I was staying in that section all 3 nights after I had requested cabanas. There was a very nice CM Korean girl that my girls spoke to for a while. They love the K-pop bands and K-dramas (tv shows) and were thrilled to talk to her. She was so nice to them. Does anyone know how I could write an email to CSR management about her?
We ended up in building 6A with a parking lot view. After eating in pepper market, we went to bed. I had called earlier and asked them to hold our luggage from ME until morning. I could not wait up for it ( they said it would be 1 AM). The room was just as beautiful as the pictures. The beds and pillows were really soft and we slept well. I really liked the wooden doors.
The next morning we called to ask for a room change to cabanas and within an hour they had given us an upgraded room in 9A waterview looking over the quiet pool and the lake! She even apologized for the inconvience of us not liking ranchos. I'm so glad we asked to move. It was a much shorter walk to El centro ( 4 or 5 min. compared to 10). They even came in a golf cart to pick us up at the old room and they had our ME luggage. It was a very quick move and we were off to Epcot.
We really liked pepper market. The food was really fresh and hot. I still don't like the tipping, but it was a nice place to eat. Some of the things we liked were the steak sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, burrito and chicken quesadillas.
The landscaping at this resort is exactly what I like. So much foilage and flowers and palm trees! We went to the pool twice and loved it. We all went down the slide many times. The slide was much longer than I expected. There were plenty of lounge chairs and we found some in the shade. They had a campfire at night and we roasted marshmallows. I would go back here just for this pool area!

I was kinda nervous to stay at CSR since we had a bad stay at CBR a few years ago. We had stayed at CSR 10 yrs. ago and we liked it then but I know as your family changes your needs at a hotel change. I was so sad to leave CSR but we were staying with family at AOA for the next 4 nights. AOA was such a let down after CSR. I think we need a mod from now on with a larger room and queen beds. We hope to get back there soon.
