I was wondering if anyone makes Disney Christmas ornmaents for their tree? I am so ready for Christmas! We have a Disney tree with regular bought ornaments.. I would love for my daughter who is 10 to make her own Disney ornaments... anyone have any ideas? It would be cool if we had a swap and everyone make like 20 ornaments and swap them with each other.. but I have no idea how to get that started and all..

I saw today when I was at the Dollar Tree they have ornaments that can be colored or painted. They had Mickey and friends, Cars, and Tinkerbell. They were really cute.

My wife has made a ton of Mickey ornaments for our tree. She bought one large ball and then glued two small as ears on them. I'll see I can dig a picture of them up for you.

I was thinking about doing a handmade Disney ornamnet swap closer to Christmas!

I would love this! Hopefully we can get it started!!! Either way, I am going to be starting on ornaments soon since Fall is such a busy time for me with kids/school/WDW trip/Holidays etc. I don't visit this board very often, so please PM me if you decide to start an ornament swap.

I made a Mickey tree a couple years ago. I took a cookie cutter in the shape of Mickeys ears and used it with Crayola Model Magic in white. Then we let our son help us paint and decorate them. I also glued disney fabric and scrapbook papers to clear plastic ornaments. We placed set of Mickeys ears on the top of the tree! The Model Magic was waaay better than the salt dough ornament recipes that are out there!

I made my own mickey ear ornaments I got plastic balls one large and two small I drilled a hole for the small ball and then used the tip of a hot glue gun to make the hole bigger and start melting the plastic, then i stuck the crown part of the small balls in the hole and once cooled it held the ball in place

I would love to do an ornament swap!!

Me, too!

I was afraid I'd missed the boat for this year, though, so I was thinking about 2014.

If you do something for THIS year, please let me know!

If we do one for this year it has to be quick. Like sign ups this weekend. Due date December 5th. I don't mind doing it, but if someone new wants to host go for it.

There is not a lot of us that swap. It's not too bad. I have received some wonderful crafts. It is a lot of fun.

I had meant to host one, but we've had some major house repairs come up and of course we're DIYers...so we've been literally tearing down walls! Thanks for stepping up and hosting! There are some really talented crafters here and the swaps are so much fun!
