Viewing Wishes from the Contemporary

I asked this on the CR thread but haven't gotten an answer yet, so I'm throwing this out to anyone who knows.

We have a GW room booked, so aside from having a TPV room, I am trying to determine where else is a good spot to view Wishes from the CR.

I have heard of a 4th floor observation deck...I know about Cali Grill....

Can you see Wishes from the pool? (I'm guessing over the tower?)

Can you see the EWP from the pool?

When we stayed at BLT, we thought the parking lot in front of BLT was a good spot to watch them. You should be able to see EWP from the pool area, but you might want to walk over to the beach area if you are at the themed pool instead of the lake side pool.

Yeah, the quiet pool looks like it's right up against the water, so that's probably a good place to see EWP?

Yes, you can see EWP from the pool side of the tower. Beyond the 4th floor observatory and Cali Grill, you can also see the fireworks from the skybridge between CR and BLT.

Gosh, I don't think you'd be able to see Wishes from the pool. We have stayed in TPV rooms on both of our stays and the fireworks are sort of "over there". Hopefully someone else will respond and weigh in with their experience, but I would say no.

For the EWP, we sat on some loungers on the beach and watched it. LOVED our experience!

Hooray for you on staying at the CR! It is our favorite resort, and I miss it every single day. Have a wonderful time!!

Yes, you can see EWP from the pool side of the tower. Beyond the 4th floor observatory and Cali Grill, you can also see the fireworks from the skybridge between CR and BLT.

Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't too sure about fireworks from the pool but I figured if they got high enough, we might be able to see them.

We are usually either at MK for Wishes or at another park while its going on, but if by some chance we are at the resort during Wishes or EWP, at least I know the best places to look at them.

Don't you need to have a BLT key card to cross the sky bridge? That may not be an option for someone staying in the GW, if you do.

This area doesn't appear to be open right now as it is a staging area for construction materials going up a service elevator to the CA Grill.

My trip is next August (2014) so I am assuming that Cali Grill will be all set.

Don't you need to have a BLT key card to cross the sky bridge? That may not be an option for someone staying in the GW, if you do.

This us true but often folks are coming and going sovthey could always try. BLT's lounge pipes in the music and we absolutely Love watching Wishes there. Nothing is closer outside of MK and because you are up high, you feel like you can touch the fireworks. This may be true from observation deck inCR too.
