Multiple news outlets (CNN, MSNBC, etc.) are reporting Kidd Kraddick, the radio host, has passed away at 53 in New Orleans at a charity event for Kidd's Kids. Kidd's Kids is a yearly trip to Walt Disney World for children who are ill, some terminally. So sad to hear this, he was such a fantastic radio host and seemed like an even better person, helping out so many families and children. So sad.

I worked in TX radio at one of Kidd's affiliates. It's true.

Seriously gut punched sad. Shocked.

Not only was he one if the best radio personalities out there he was one of the best people.

I have been stunned since heating the news. I have been listening to him on my radio literally my whole life. I'm from the Dfw area so it's been a constant that he was always on the radio. I still listen every morning and then replay what I missed online. He was way too young! :(

Wow. This is such heartbreaking news. He always did so much good with Kidd"s Kidds. Shocked and saddened. When my local station stopped carrying him I downloaded his app so I could listen.

It is a punch to the gut, the voice of my morning drive! They've been talking about the concert for Kidds Kids all week too. His poor co-hosts, can't imagine what they are going thru right now, family too.

So sad. And 53 seems so young. They said he didn't look well when he showed up at the event. Poor guy.

Wow..so young. I used to watch him on Dish Nation. He was hilarious and what he did with taking kids to disney was amazing.

I also grew up listening to Kidd On DFW radio stations before he was nationally famous.

I moved away from Texas when I was 30 so I haven't heard him in a long time but I use to love his show.

I think the radio station he started out on was The Eagle.

I was shocked to hear the news and thought at first it was a hoax. I'm also surprised at how sad this makes me. I don't usually have a REAL sadness when someone I don't know passes away, but this time, I'm strangely sad. I love listening to his show on the way to work each morning and my drive will definitely be different now.

I'd never listened to his morning radio show (not my type of program) but he always seemed like a nice guy with a real heart for others & for charity.
I'm not surprised they were saying he didn't look or feel well at the event. I had a teacher who died of the same thing & all day before it happened she complained of a really bad headache.

His on air family will be broadcasting for a short time tomorrow morning at 8 am ET to say a few words about Kidd.

The show was so personal, you really feel like you know them, they put themselves out there every day. What a loss.

I had a teacher who died of the same thing & all day before it happened she complained of a really bad headache.

What was the cause of death? From everything I've read, it's not yet known.

This is really sad. I hope that Kidds Kids continues, His show was one of the few I really enjoyed. :sad1:

Favorite Kidd stories? They made you feel like you were in on the inside jokes.

Rise to the Top, you can c'complish it all.

The story he told of self administering the heimlick on the side of the road...

Kellie and the groupon.

I listened to him every single morning. So many mornings I would literally laugh out loud. But, I think I appreciated him as much when he was being serious. I loved the letter he wrote for his daughter's first day of school, and he just made me feel better when something tragic happened in the world.

RIP, Kidd.

I'm so sad! I really love him (and all the others) on Dish Nation. Praying for his family, friends, and coworkers!
