A rabbi, a priest, and a pastor board the Wonder: we're back!

I can't believe high waisted shorts are back  I'm glad she found some cheap ones! Very cool about One Direction. I like a few of their songs myself.

:cool1::cool1: 178 Days!!! :cool1::cool1:

They're pretty horrible too. But she loves them. Working hard fringing and bleaching them.

:woohoo: :woohoo: 177 days!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:

Okay so here are her shorts. She found them at the Salvation Army in SLC. They're hideous! :rotfl2:

The before:

She botched the crotch a little, too thin, so she ran them up to my MIL's for a quick repair. I think she did great for her first time doing anything like this and with directions from Pinterest. :thumbsup2

I look at them and all I can think of is god, how uncomfortable those were! Not to mention unflattering. Go gabby! K is going to 1D on Sat.

She's tiny and they fit cute but they do have a tendency to give that cut-in-half look. As you can see they're not skin tight which is great.

The girls are so excited. We got an out of office response from their manager about possibly the girls meeting them again so we'll see.......it doesn't look hopeful but like I told them, meeting them once is a major thing. They get it. Their seats are great though and were their Christmas gift. That was the best kill-two-birds-with-one-stone gift ever! :woohoo:

I bet K is so excited. It's all 1D fever at my house. Is she going with her girlfriends? I'm not even driving. Gabby is. Crazy.

Shorts drama, shorts drama:

The crotch wasn't fixable so she went to Savers where she found an equally as ugly pair but for $2.02. Michael cut them this time and she's in there with tweezers fringing away.

I may not survive this. :rotfl:

Oy on the shorts drama!

1D is in Denver tonight. Apparently a bunch of girls thought they were staying in a hotel here downtown last night and had to be broken up by the police since they were so loud. :) Oh, and Niles has a sore throat. I no know way more about 1D than I ever wanted to know. :)

A sore throat? :faint: Say it isn't so. ;)

I feel your pain. I blame Michael. He worked on the *Gotta Be You* video and its been all about The Boys ever since.

My FB is blowing up with kids making posters, sunglasses, you name it. It's pretty cute though.

We get two extra teenagers post concert for the entire weekend too. Party central. party:

Hey Girlie! :wave2: Just stopped by to say I LOVE your fuzzy Disney math because now I FINALLY get to meet you!!!:banana::banana::banana:

And those shorts look soooo uncomfortable! But i love what she did to them! :thumbsup2

::yes:: :woohoo: Not sure where/when exactly but we'll work it out. We will be doing one day at Disney, most likely that Wednesday. The rest of the days we'll be at the beach. :beach:

Will the boys be with you at Disney that day before their game?

I totally remember having shorts like that. :rotfl2: But then again I remember the "first" time bell bottoms were in style. :rotfl2: Yup - that old!

I got a nice morning laugh reading about the shorts :rotfl: I hope the second pair had a better outcome. Cool she's being creative though :thumbsup2

I also wore the big bells the first time around too. :faint: And satin pants. My mother worked for a big department store and was all into fashion. I was the only 5th grader in tight satin pants, think Olivia Newton John in Grease. :rotfl2: It's a miracle I didn't get my butt kicked on a daily basis.

Her second pair turned out great! :thumbsup2 She's very happy. No pics yet but I'll post them once they're all ready

I was up all night puking, ate bad soup at work, and the house is already blaring with 1D. It's going to be a long but fun day.

:smickey: 176 days!!! :smickey:

:( I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you. :goodvibes Right now I'm still queasy but I feel more exhausted from not sleeping all night. I'm awake but my sleep aid hasn't worn off. Groggy.

:rainbow::rainbow::rainbow:

Awesome! :rockband:

We're cruising along. :cheer2:

Do you and Joshua have a favorite character?

Hmmm.......Of the Fab 5, I love Mickey and Pluto and Joshua loves Mickey and Donald. My all time favorite is Lady though. Joshua also really likes Steamboat Willie.

How about you? I know you like Donald but any other favorites?

Cherry Creek Trail is awesome...I live right off the Highline Canal Trail....You can get anywhere in Denver between the 2 trails.

Jill in CO

You may not be far from her, she is close to where the 2 intersect.

Add a string cheese or hard boiled egg and its a balanced meal. :rotfl:

:lmao: for lunch or breakfast. I don't think I could sell that as a dinner to anyone...except me. Maybe Eric.

5 Guys cajun fries are so good but I hate their burgers. The big Utah burger war is between In n Out and 5 Guys. To me, In n Out wins by a landslide. Plus 5 Guys is so expensive. Have you been to a Habit Burger? We just got those here and they make a lettuce wrapped burger that's incredible. I'm usually leery of lettuce wrap burgers but theirs is delicious.

UGH on lettuce wrap. No thank you. Typically I will have a turkey burger anyway (or black bean, or garden) on whole wheat or one of those sandwich slims. No In n Out or Habit here.

:lmao: Michael use to do that, me too. I blame the 40 lb I gained, over the course of 3 kids, on leftover bites of Kraft mac and Cheese and crusts off pb and j's. Seriously, I was a vacuum.

Ah, little kid leftovers. Yeah, those were dangerous! Now why doesn't it surprise me you cut the crusts off :lmao:

I'm a leftover fan. I love them. I always have, even as a kid. Theres nothing like cold pizza or pasta the next day. :cloud9:

I have leftover issues. My dad would save EVERYTHING. Like 2t. of hamburger meat or one slice of apple. All in old margarine or yogurt containers. You never knew where the margarine or yogurt was or what you'd find in the container. My siblings and I all have issues now...CLEAR tupperwear only and no leftovers. LOL! Jeff loves them and I've had to learn to cook extra to cover his lunches.

Are you guys driving or flying?

flying. BTDT on the driving, no thanks!

Whats the Denver Mint? I am not familiar with Colorado at all. Dinner train? Is it a moving locomotive or dinner in a stationary train?

I'm all about the pool and cocktail scene too. I'm a virtual sloth on vacation.

Why is Evan anti-hike?

You know, that place they make coins? :lmao:

It's a steam train and I'm fairly sure she booked the dinner one.

Evan's being weird. He says he's not anti-hike around here...just "on vacation" that hiking isn't a vacation activity.

Show and tell time is a hoot. She's proud of you guys though so it's sweet...right? ;)

It's a waste of an evening with the desparate housewives. Not really, that's a bit harsh but...a little bit true too. I get the showing off but it is REALLY not how we want to spend our evening.

That's what I was going to ask; which part of this constitutes as vacation?

I have yet to figure that out. Jeff and I were chatting the other day about this, she's just not a spontaneous person, everything is planned to the T's.

Which makes it a good thing she is a pastor's wife. :lmao:

I'll be packing lots of cute sundresses.

My kids enjoy it but not when we're on the way to some place else. If Vegas is the destination, then they're giddy but if it's just a stop, they just want to be on their way.

I however love Vegas. I always have. I can't wait for our trip in less than 2 weeks; out little anniversary jaunt. It's going to be hotter than hell. Can't wait to veg out by the pool. We made a reservation at Battista's Hole in the Wall. http://www.battistaslasvegas.com/menu.html Its amazing and literally a hole in the wall behind the Flamingo Hilton. Their linguini with clams is the best I've ever had. Plus free flowing house wine. Every meal comes with the wine, soup or salad, cappuccino, and the entree. Plus the ambiance is fantastic. It's dark and very old school and it feels like a scene from Goodfellas. I cannot wait. Thankfully we booked our room months ago because they've gone up about $30 a night.
I don't like the streetmosphere either but love a good game of Craps or Blackjack.

Yeah. I guess. For me there are pools and great dining elsewhere in towns I actually like. I'll go, heck I will be there in Sept for work but it's never my first choice and I really don't like it for work at all.
