Cherry Creek Trail is awesome...I live right off the Highline Canal Trail....You can get anywhere in Denver between the 2 trails.
Jill in CO
You may not be far from her, she is close to where the 2 intersect.
Add a string cheese or hard boiled egg and its a balanced meal.
for lunch or breakfast. I don't think I could sell that as a dinner to anyone...except me. Maybe Eric.
5 Guys cajun fries are so good but I hate their burgers. The big Utah burger war is between In n Out and 5 Guys. To me, In n Out wins by a landslide. Plus 5 Guys is so expensive. Have you been to a Habit Burger? We just got those here and they make a lettuce wrapped burger that's incredible. I'm usually leery of lettuce wrap burgers but theirs is delicious.
UGH on lettuce wrap. No thank you. Typically I will have a turkey burger anyway (or black bean, or garden) on whole wheat or one of those sandwich slims. No In n Out or Habit here.
Michael use to do that, me too. I blame the 40 lb I gained, over the course of 3 kids, on leftover bites of Kraft mac and Cheese and crusts off pb and j's. Seriously, I was a vacuum.
Ah, little kid leftovers. Yeah, those were dangerous! Now why doesn't it surprise me you cut the crusts off
I'm a leftover fan. I love them. I always have, even as a kid. Theres nothing like cold pizza or pasta the next day.
I have leftover issues. My dad would save EVERYTHING. Like 2t. of hamburger meat or one slice of apple. All in old margarine or yogurt containers. You never knew where the margarine or yogurt was or what you'd find in the container. My siblings and I all have issues now...CLEAR tupperwear only and no leftovers. LOL! Jeff loves them and I've had to learn to cook extra to cover his lunches.
Are you guys driving or flying?
flying. BTDT on the driving, no thanks!
Whats the Denver Mint? I am not familiar with Colorado at all. Dinner train? Is it a moving locomotive or dinner in a stationary train?
I'm all about the pool and cocktail scene too. I'm a virtual sloth on vacation.
Why is Evan anti-hike?
You know, that place they make coins?
It's a steam train and I'm fairly sure she booked the dinner one.
Evan's being weird. He says he's not anti-hike around here...just "on vacation" that hiking isn't a vacation activity.
Show and tell time is a hoot.
She's proud of you guys though so it's sweet...right?
It's a waste of an evening with the desparate housewives. Not really, that's a bit harsh but...a little bit true too. I get the showing off but it is REALLY not how we want to spend our evening.
That's what I was going to ask; which part of this constitutes as vacation?
I have yet to figure that out. Jeff and I were chatting the other day about this, she's just not a spontaneous person, everything is planned to the T's.
Which makes it a good thing she is a pastor's wife.
I'll be packing lots of cute sundresses.
My kids enjoy it but not when we're on the way to some place else. If Vegas is the destination, then they're giddy but if it's just a stop, they just want to be on their way.
I however love Vegas. I always have. I can't wait for our trip in less than 2 weeks; out little anniversary jaunt. It's going to be hotter than hell. Can't wait to veg out by the pool. We made a reservation at Battista's Hole in the Wall.
http://www.battistaslasvegas.com/menu.html Its amazing and literally a hole in the wall behind the Flamingo Hilton. Their linguini with clams is the best I've ever had. Plus free flowing house wine. Every meal comes with the wine, soup or salad, cappuccino, and the entree. Plus the ambiance is fantastic. It's dark and very old school and it feels like a scene from Goodfellas. I cannot wait. Thankfully we booked our room months ago because they've gone up about $30 a night.
I don't like the streetmosphere either but love a good game of Craps or Blackjack.
Yeah. I guess. For me there are pools and great dining elsewhere in towns I actually like. I'll go, heck I will be there in Sept for work but it's never my first choice and I really don't like it for work at all.
