How much to add a day to resort package?

Looking to add a day on to the end of our trip if there's availability. Not interested in doing a spilt stay.

We are now less than 45 days out

I only want to add a day to our resort / no extra day to our park tickets. Given that there is availability at our resort what costs am I looking at? Would it just be the extra room cost or will I be paying for the ticket price difference as well? I also considered that the exact room category may not be available so that may be an extra cost as well if we had to "upgrade" to preferred or other view.

You will be paying the extra room cost at full rack rate, because you have free dining.

If you add at less than 45 days out, they will not charge you anything, unless you are within 14 days of check-in, then there is a $15.00 change fee no matter whether you add, subtract or upgrade.

another option if you don't care about dining for that last day ((which I personally wouldn't worry about since your last day is probably a partial day)) is just book a room only if there's a deal out there for room only and ask CRO to link them and hopefully you won't have to change rooms.

I can't speak from experience, but I have read reports that if you booked before the ticket increase and now want to make changes, you will be charged the difference in ticket price. Whether or not this is accurate, I don't know, so the best thing to do is to call and get an amount of what it would be to add on that extra night (provided your room type is available under the FD promo). If there is no increase in the ticket cost and the room type is available, the extra cost would just be for the room. With that said, if you had to upgrade your room type for that night, you would have to do a RO reservation or upgrade the whole trip in order to have FD for the entire time. Good luck.

You're welcome . Disney just extended the military discount, so that's probably the reason for long hold times .

I just did this last week. I added an extra day at the resort, extra fee to upgrade to the free dining, and an extra park day. I ONLY paid rack rate for the room, $11ish for each ticket, and the same $19 & $3 for the upgraded dining. My package was booked before the increase in ticket and dining but the additional day was NOT affected by this. I was skeptical but I knew what all the extras would cost at the old rate and I was not willing to pay the new prices so when my quote came back with cents of my estimate I added that extra day.
