I won a trip to Disney!!! Please help us decide!

I'm new to the board and so excited to read threads and study up!

I recently found out I won a trip to Disney through a sweepstakes I entered. I am anxiously awaiting a call from Disney to book our trip. We have from September 2013-September 2014 to book it. Anyone have any advice on when to go? I know we are staying at a Disney resort in a standard room but don't have details on which resort, maybe we will get to choose!!!

We went to Disney in February with extended family and I never imagined we would be planning another trip so soon!

Totally jealous of you -- and HAPPY for you. Winning a Disney trip is a prize I try for all the time. There are others here on the DIS that have won trips and they say that Disney has been awesome to work with. I am sure you will have an amazing time.

You have considered the tax side of things, right? Imo, the amount of taxes owed on the trip are nothing compared the price of a Disney vacation and I wouldn't think twice about accepting a trip. Like I said, I enter every Disney vacation contest I can find.

I am assuming you aren't at liberty yet to tell us who you won the trip through. I can't wait to find out if it was one I was entering or if one snuck by me that I missed, lol.

As to when to go - if you can at all swing it, I highly recommend September/October. The weather is less oppressive and generally the crowds are less. And - since your trip is gratis, you could get tickets to MNSSHP for extra special fun!

Thanks everyone! We are so excited! I'm not sure how much I can share but I will tell you it was a Monsters University promo! I have been bugging the poor promotions lady trying to figure out when Disney will contact us, I'm anxious to find out where we are staying and what exactly will happen. All we know is we won four airline tickets (coach), four nights at a Disney resort, five park hopper passes, a $500 Disney giftcard, and we get to be the first ones at Monsters Inc Laugh floor one day!!

That is awesome!! Congrats, personally I love Disney in the Christmas season but the crowds in Sept are usually the lowest and you also have the halloween party going on Just some thoughts. But hey anytime you go down all expenses paid is awesome!!

I entered this one too, guess I didn't win. We've stayed at many resorts but we liked Caribbean resort if not able to stay in dvc resort or at Christmas the wilderness lodge. Have fun.
