We're Going To Disney World Again!
voo8.jpg

Hello fellow Disney Freaks! And welcome to my first Pre-Trip Report ever! I am not new to Disboards, but I have never ever written a trip report of any kind before, so we'll see how this goes. It's a little daunting to say the least... I hope I get the hang of it! Anyways... On to the juicy stuff!

My name is Katie (that's me in the picture, along with my "little" brother), and I'm a born and bred Disney Freak! I'm 18 years old and have been traveling to Disney World since I was 2 years old! We started as those "off-site people", and have worked our way up to "on-site lovers"! (sorry, I tend to go overboard on the exclamation points... I just can't justify using a plain old period!) A few of my relatives own DVC, (we do not unfortunately :( ) so we have stayed in value, moderate, and DVC! I honestly don't care where we stay, as long as we're at Disney!

Here are the details for my 11th trip to Disney World:
What: A trip to Disney World, duh!!
When: August 14th-21st
Where: Port Orleans Riverside (Royal Room!)
Who: Me, My Brother (Chris,16), Mom, and Dad
Why: I'm leaving for college when we get back, so this is our last celebration of the summer!

Here's a picture of mom and dad by the way :)

Only 30 days until we leave Wisconsin and land at the Most Magical Place on Earth! Here we gooooo!!

Welcome back!
na4l.jpg

First, I want to tell you a little bit more about our plans! Day 1:

Again, we are staying at Port Orleans Riverside for the first time ever! I couldn't be more excited! Unfortunately, we have a later flight than normal. We leave at around 2:50pm from Wisconsin, and arrive at MCO at around 6:45pm. We are taking the Magical Express! We haven't taken the ME in two years, so I am very pumped! Can't wait to watch the video and see all the new footage! After we arrive, I'm thinking we'll either hit the pool, or maybe wander over to Downtown Disney! Ahhhhh, I'm just so excited!

How about the food???
8k2s.jpg

I'm really antsy to talk about food, so I apologize if this report seems a little scattered (it is). The reason I'm excited to talk about food is because we actually made some ADRs for this trip. My family isn't really into sit down meals because normally when we visit WDW, we only have 4 full days and they like to go, go, go! But this will actually be our longest trip ever, with 6 full days!! Yay! We have made 4 ADRs. This may not seem like a lot, but trust me, for my family, it is!

So here they are...
Thursday: Kona Café (breakfast)
Friday: Via Napoli (lunch)
Saturday: Boma (dinner)
Sunday: The Plaza Restaurant (dinner)

This is going to be so different for my family, but they are all very excited!

Hey Joining in!! What a great way to celebrate before starting college.

1. Love that fireworks pic with the rose gardens sign.
2. Great choices for ADRs, Kona and Via Napoli are sure bets. Never been to Boma but I've only heard good things about it.
3. 4 Weeks and 2 days!!!! WOOHOO!! It's like you're already there.

Hi there! Thank you so much for following along! I know, it's almost here!!
Thanks again!

Woo hoo! We love Via Napoli for the pizza. Seriously. I am of Italian decent and know my food. DH & I said that was a pizza worth paying top dollar for. We are at AKL in 2weeks. Looking forward to Boma too!

More Plans!
wumo.jpg

So, here are the plans, as of now. We only have a 3 day MYW ticket for each of us (we aren't park hoppers). However, my dad wants to add another day when we get there! We arrive on Wednesday night, so I'll just start there.

Wednesday: Arrive at POR, DTD, pool
Thursday: Kona Café, free day
Friday: Epcot (morning EMH), Via Napoli
Saturday: Blizzard Beach, Boma
Sunday: Magic Kingdom (EMH), The Plaza Restaurant
Monday: Hollywood Studios (EMH)
Tuesday: maybe MK again...

So there you have it, the rough outline for our longest trip yet!

I love that you've grown up with Disney and you are still so excited! This will be our third trip with our kids DD 11 & DS 8. We hope this will too be an annual trip & the kids keep the magic alive as you are! Have fun!!

Awww, thank you!! I will never stop getting excited :) I hope that your kids keep that excitement too! Thanks again!

Hello everybody!!

I have a question for all of you more experienced trip report writers out there!
How do I get each of my posts on a different page..? I want to have a table of content with a link to each different post..

Thanks everyone, I really appreciate it! I will have more updates when I get back from our annual camping trip on Tuesday, so stay tuned!
........ :tinker: ........

10 Days!!!!

I can't even believe it, we've hit the 10 day mark! In fact, 10 days from now, we'll be on the plane headed towards Disney World! I believe our plane arrives at around 7:45 p.m. It's a late arrival, but I don't care because we're going to Disney World!

I don't know about my family, but I've been anxiously preparing for our trip. I've been gathering, planning, and basically going crazy with anticipation! I haven't started packing yet, however. I'm going to try and wait until next weekend...we'll see how that goes. I also only have to work two more day before we leave (this Monday and Tuesday). I feel like after those two shifts are over, I'll really start getting ready! I just have to keep telling myself, "Only two more days of work, you can do it!". Just in case anyone's curious, I work at the local baseball stadium! Another thing that I've been doing to pass the time, is getting ready for college. I've got almost everything I need, but I'm just not ready! I don't even want to think about college when Disney is so close!!

Anyways... back to the trip! I just received my Mickey Waffles Bows in the mail!! They are just beautiful, and I'm so excited to wear them on our trip! From top to bottom: Peter Pan, Goofy, Dumbo, Figment, and Donald!

And here's Minnie Mouse, this bow is bigger than the others. Those were "minis".

Here are some of my gatherings:

Those are some pins I bought off of ebay for trading! Then some pin lanyards, and behind my backpack are our Disney ponchos! We will definitely be needing those!

And here's the empty for now suitcase:

I love this suitcase! I got it probably 5 or 6 years ago, and I always bring it to Disney, I even brought it to Ireland! It's really big, perfect for souvenirs!

So there you have it, 10 days until Disney World! The excitement is really beginning to build. My family is finally starting to feel just a little bit of what I have been feeling for months. Hopefully, I will be able to update this PTR one more time before I leave!

Thanks for reading!!

ONE WEEK!

At this exact moment, in one week, I will be on a plane flying to MCO!! I am so excited, I can't contain it! I think I'm starting to annoy my family :) Oh well.

Our flight leaves Green Bay, Wi at 3:50pm and we land in Orlando at 7:45pm. It's about a two and a half hour flight, but then you gotta throw in the time change. So I'm guessing by the time we get to our resort, it will be past 9pm... But that won't stop me! I'll be heading over to Downtown Disney, even if I have to go alone (which I probably will). I have a feeling that on this trip, I will be venturing off more by myself. Or maybe just me and my brother, Chris.

Also, good news! My dad decided he definitely wants to add on another day at the parks, since it's so cheap to go from a 3 day to a 4 day ticket. So, on our first day, we had originally planned just breakfast at Kona Café, and then a free day. But now, after our 9:20 am breakfast, we're going to head over to Animal Kingdom for the day! I'm so excited since we weren't even planning on doing that park at all! YAY Everest!! My parents also told my bro and I that if we wanted to get another day at the parks without them, we could, as long as we paid for it. So we were all over that!

On our last full day, Chris and I will most likely be doing a second day at Magic Kingdom! I'm excited because usually when we go, we only have one day there. Now, we'll be able to slow down and not worry about hitting all the rides in one day. This will also (hopefully) give us the chance to eat at Be Our Guest for lunch, because I know my parents won't want to wait in a line just for lunch there... I know, they're strange. So I'm planning on dragging Chris there on our second day and just sticking out the wait! I hope it's worth it!

Right now, I'm sitting here listening to Disney music, and it's beautiful! Less than 7 days until the magic begins!

Less than 24 hours!!!!

In less than 24 hours, I will be in Disney World!!! I am just freaking out. I haven't been able to sleep for the past two nights, so tonight will really be a struggle! I'm mostly packed, and my family is finally starting their packing as well. My dad has to work a half-day tomorrow, but once he gets home, we're leaving for the airport! It's all happening so fast!

Another exciting thing happened today! I was on the Disney World website, just looking at our itinerary for the hundredth time, and I thought, "hey, why don't I check to see if there are ay Be Our Guest Reservations!". Good idea, Katie, because there was!!! I got us a reservation for next Tuesday, the 21st. This was the day that just me and my brother were going to MK. But, I decided to make it for 4 people, just in case. I hope that they don't charge me if my parents don't show up!! I'll have to check on that when we get to Port Orleans Riverside!

I am so anxious and nervous and excited! This is going to be my 11th trip, and my best! Please feel free to follow me on Twitter or Instagram for live updates and pictures! My username for both is: @disneyfreak095.

Thanks for reading my first pre-trip report ever, I really appreciate it. And may your next trip to WDW, whenever that may be, be magical :tink:
