Best way to utilize the QSDP

The last time we used the QSDP was years ago. There were 2 snacks each day. We used one snack for breakfast, the two CS for lunch and dinner, and the last snack for whatever snack each person wanted. Now that there's only one snack I feel like I need to be careful to use my CS wisely.

That said, what are your favorite CS restaurants? Is there a list that tells what I can use QS credits for? I've searched but can't seem to find it. I vaguely remember a thread that had best places to use QS credits but I may be wrong.

Thanks!

2 QS entitlements can get you 1 large pizza, 2 drinks and 2 desserts. This has to be ordered in person down in the counter service area of your resort. We love doing this as the pizza is large enough to feed the 3 of us.

We usually do this when we book a late TS lunch. We come back to the resort and relax and grab a take out pizza and relax and watch then sun set!

I miss the days when you'd use a Cs entitlement for breakfast you'd get an extra drink because dessert wasn't available. We were surprised 2 trips ago when we were told that breakfast doesn't include the dessert/2nd drink option. We will never waste a CS entitlement for breakfast anymore.

We usually buy a box of cereal and grab a jug of milk and eat breaky in our room in the morning. Were not big breakfast eaters so it tides us over until lunch.

When we used the QSDp we used the meal credits for lunch and dinner, used the snacks for snacks and paid OOP for our CS breakfast at the resort food court.

If you are use to eating 3 meals a day at home it really is kind of hard to get by on just what the QSDP gives you without paying for a 3rd meal.

We don't like to eat in our room when on vacation. But if you need to save money I guess that is an option.

Wolf gang puck express in DTD. Huge portions of great food. It's really good for dinner. A wonderful change up from the burger and fries :)

I also agree with Wolfgang pucks . Also Earl of sandwich in DD has great sandwiches and great portions.

I knew I had the link saved somewhere. Bingo :thumbsup2 on my computer at the office!

you will need to remove the extra spaces in the link when you copy and paste it into your address bar.

This is us exactly. We do the regular DDP, but we just pay for what we want for breakfast. DH usually has breakfast platter, but I just grab a bagel.

I'm on vacation - I don't want to eat poptarts in the hotel room.

The QSDP provides A LOT of food, but I still don't see it as a good value if it isn't part of free-dining.

I always get the bounty platter in the morning with a QS credit. A vacation isn't a vacation to me unless it includes a hot breakfast (one of my weird quirks). The chocolate milk and breakfast provide plenty of long-lasting calories.

Many of the larger QS meals can be split, which my family normally does. I normally graze off of what nobody else wants to eat because of my large breakfast. CR in the MK has an option for a half chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, green beans, drink, and gelato. And that is just one meal! You can get that in the AK too with slightly different sides.

Sometimes we will use a QS meal for a snack. CHH in the MK offers a meal of chicken tenders and broccoli with a cold beverage. I usually just ask for double broccoli instead of the desert.

Many of the snack options are large enough for two or three people. The cupcakes can easily be split, as well as many of the sugary bakery concoctions. IMO, anyone who uses a SC to buy a banana is nuts.

We normaly only eat a TS meal once every three days, and with in-room breakfast for everyone but me most days, we still have 3 meals each for the plane trip home.

We've just had 2 weeks on QSDP and we found it was way too much food for us, we ended up giving our desserts away to people in the second week and using leftover snack credits for sweets. Really agree with Wolfgang Puck's Express in the Market Place portion size is huge and it's really tasty, other recommendations would include

MK - BOG, Peco Bills
Epcot: Sunshine Seasons and Katsura Grill
HS: ABC Commissionary
AK: Flame Tree and Yak n Yeti
Resorts: POR (Pasta Bar is awesome)

These were all places we ate at then chose to go to again, portion sizes here are also pretty decent.

Another idea if you want something for breakfast is perhaps save one of your two desserts from the previous day and eat it in the morning, we did this once or twice with the chocolate cakes :lmao:

Snack credits that we did end up using usually went on items such as frozen drinks or Dole Whips so we got more for our money that way and still got something thirst quenching.

I usually buy breakfast OOP if I wake up hungry that morning. Or, if we eat in our hotel the night before I will grab a pastry as my dessert and save it for breakfast.

Plus, there are certain QS meals where we will share and that sometimes leaves the option of having more meals to share per day.

I always end up buying snacks throughout the trip. One snack a day just isn't enough for me in Disney. haha

I agree with Ear of Sandwich. Is is really good. The whole way home, from vacation, my husband kept whining about wanting another sandwich from there.
