Hello,

My wife and I share this username for the boards, as Disney has become very important to us!

We live here in FL, and were just married this past September in which we spent our Honeymoon staying at the beautiful French Quarter resort and exploring all the wonders of the parks! We plan on making a Disney trip every year if possible (hence our username, "HoneymoonandBEYOND", which yes - is a reference to Buzz Lightyear's oh so famous saying!)

Me (the husband) grew up here in the sunshine state just a few hours from Orlando, and frequented Disney as a kid several times. However, not having been in over ten years, I took my beautiful wife (who was my Fiancee at the time) down to Orlando and showed her around. Well, she never having been to Orlando, much less Disney World, was excited when I offered to drive her by to check it out. Boy had things changed since I was a kid! Just a mere ride along through some of the property had her amazed, and wanting to change our honeymoon plans just months before it was scheduled, so I happily did - and wow, did we have the trip of our lives!

Happy to say we are heading back soon for our one year anniversary, and cannot wait!

We are happy to be a part of the community, look forward to sharing stories, reading reviews, and simply talking about the beautiful world of Disney with ya'll!!!

awesome!!!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trips.

Yes, the POFQ is awesome, it would be hard pressed to want to trade it even for a deluxe, in my opinion.:)

I saved all the money (big time $ for us being young, married, college students) just to take her back as my Anniversary present to her! We are going the same days, staying in the same resort and all! I was so thrilled to finally book it again!

Growing up in FL is not all it's cracked up to be. I would happily trade our summers for your winters but we do get too keep Disney! :cool1:

ya POFQ seems to be our go to resort too the last 3 times we have gone we stayed there. i love that you dont have to walk miles to get to the buses or food court haha and really its just a place to sleep

we have checked out most of the other resorts just walking around and they all seem so spread out and busy

lol ya i could never do your summers all the time it got up to around 90 here a few times so far during the summer and i pretty much just melted into the ground :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We are thinking about trying out the Boardwalk when we surprise my mom and take her next year (if we can get the money together - she hasn't been in at least 20 years and deserves a nice vacation) but only because the club level garden suite has the multi levels, so you have a tad more privacy/ room.

The POFQ is definitely nice to only have to walk a minute or two and you are at everything you need!

Lol, I am glad somebody understands that about our weather! Most people that live out of state always say they would "love our summers", I am like "not a chance if you actually lived here!" It made me good at sports, gave me great duration skills, but it is not comfortable by any means!

* Side note: I see in your sig you have been to the PORS, how did you like it? I think it looks really nice, just too busy - which for us as a young couple, we like the POFQ because of how laidback/ calm it is.

PORS is a very nice resort too we walked over there last trip for dinner.

however as like most other resorts it is very spread out so you have to walk a bit to get to the food in the morning and stuff and if you forget something in your room you have to walk all the way back.

the good thing about other resorts like that is there are more then one bus loop so if your room is way out in the boonies there should be a bus stop near you but you have to hike for your food or any of the other amenities of the resort.

We have been to the boardwalk but again only to eat. but it does seem to be wall organized and layout compared to other resorts. at night the boardwalk seems to come alive with all the night entertainment and bars. for a young couple it would be a nice change from the laid back POFQ feel

we are in out mid 30's but we still like to get down and we have a great evening at the boardwalk.

That makes me feel good about the Boardwalk! Thanks for answering my questions. Maybe we will run into each other sometimes on a vacation there or something - we consider ourselves as pretty mature for our age, so I think we could have a good chat or something maybe!

ya sure i love meeting new people.. actually we meet one person off of the Dis on our honeymoon, they live 2 hours away so the drove up and meet us, it was a great time, we went to epcot and watched the fireworks and took some pictures
