Hi everyone!!!

We are planning an 8 night stay for President's Day week in February. I'm having some difficulty choosing a resort though, so I was hoping to get some opinions from everyone! I know everyone has their individual opinions, but it's nice to hear what other people think. I am trying to decide between POFQ, CBR, and CSR. We stayed at POR for our last trip and LOVED it. We just wanted to try out another resort. I have my own little list of pros, cons, and worries about each resort and I was hoping some of you could address those. TIA!

CBR- I know it only has the double beds and is huge correct? I guess either of those could be dealt with if this resort is really great. I love the pics of the pools I've seen and the rooms look nice enough. Love the tropical theme! How is the food court?

CSR- I love the look of this place. It's really big though too right? I was worried about the food court. I could have sworn I read about a buffet type setting that was counted as a CS meal? I would really much rather each of us just order the normal food court type fare. We're a picky group.

POFQ- I think the biggest pro for me here is the size of the resort...and I know we loved POR so I feel like we couldn't go wrong. I must admit I'm leaning toward POFQ even though I think we would enjoy the themes more over at CBR or CSR.

Any suggestions?

>>>YEP, double beds.

>>>I stayed here last year. Not too big at all! We stayed in Cabanas. PERFECT location if you ask me. Its right across the pool and at the 3rd bus stop! We didnt wait more than 5 min for a bus. Plus its not far from the main building. Love it.

>>>They changed it from buffet to a la carte. PLUS, in addition to pepper market, there's a quick service place where you can get food as well. So even if it was buffet, you could go to the other QS place.

>>>Not a fan of this resort, so I cant help you. Lol.

I'd honestly go for CSR. POR is my true love, but I really like CSR as well. Gorgeous resort. Plus I love that there's QS food at the pool, and you can refill your mugs there too!

Based on the concerns you mentioned, all mod's are fairly large, POFQ the slight exception. Ever book a preferred room? It takes away that large feeling when your close to the main pavillion. We loved em all, CSR the most! POR was very nice, however being the largest of the Mod's, the buses are always over packed and have the longest waits at the parks! Next Mod trip for us will be CSR!

Have never stayed at CSR so I won't even try to compare. CBR is OK if you have a preferred room, if not you can be so far away from the food court and center pool that it takes a little away from it. We love POFQ because it has less rooms and you feel less crowded. The food court is better and the atmosphere more fun at POFQ in our opinion. You also get the boat to DTD and the bus service seems to be a little better at POFQ. Between CBR and POFQ, we would choose FQ, especially with the new Queen beds! CBR is a nice resort, just not what we prefer.

I have heard CSR is great as long as you are in the right place. If not, there is a lot of walking.

I agree with a PP that POR is better than all three others if that is an option.

CBR - didn't really like it, we were really far away from anything! Also, being from FL, the tropical feel isn't all that unique to us!

CSR - really liked it! We didn't use the pool, but we were a pretty good distance from it. Very nice room and view.

POFQ - I have to say, it's my favorite. I love the boat ride to Downtown Disney! Love the small size and the decor!

Double beds were a challenge. The new pool is AWESOME. Cool for toddlers because of the really cool pirate ship splash pad. Cool for big kids and adults because of the fast slides and pirate theme. The resort of beautiful and relaxing with a nice playground. There are bus stops on each "island" and the main house is in the middle. Why did they not build All Stars like that?? We had a little bit of a mousekeeping problem there because the room was not as clean as I am used to at Disney.

CSR- I love the look of this place. It's really big though too right? I was worried about the food court. I could have sworn I read about a buffet type setting that was counted as a CS meal? I would really much rather each of us just order the normal food court type fare. We're a picky group.

Been a while since I stayed there, but the layout around the huge lake makes it both picturesque and hard to travel around. I have heard a lot of people complain about the fact that there is always a convention going on there with lots of people in suits and dresses running around which isn't very vacationy. I wasn't "wowed" by it. I definitely liked CSR or POR better.

POFQ- I think the biggest pro for me here is the size of the resort...and I know we loved POR so I feel like we couldn't go wrong. I must admit I'm leaning toward POFQ even though I think we would enjoy the themes more over at CBR or CSR.

I have only been to POR, but I loved it so much. Especially in the fall. Can't wait to stay at POFQ in the future.

We've stayed at CBR, POR and CSR and stopped at POFQ for the beignets and pool once). I think the food court is better at POR or CSR. CSR really has the most choices for food(Pepper Market, another QS right next to Pepper Market, some selection of QS at the main pool and a TS. We liked the make your own pasta at POR (you don't make, you tell them what you want on it).

It is no longer a buffet. We thought the food was good at Pepper Market. They do get your drinks for you and I'm not sure what else and charge a 10% tip. We got ours as take out because we just didn't want to pay a tip for a QS meal! Other than that, we thought it was good.

We haven't stayed at POFQ, but we weren't wowed by the theme when we visited. You can use their pool or POR and vice versa. We didn't think their pool was much. POFQ seems to get a smaller discount if they have any discounts come out than the others. I assume because a lot of people are willing to pay more to stay at a smaller resort. POR, CBR and CSR are all large resorts. It depends on where you are if that is a problem. We have only gotten standard rooms and then made a request for something close. At CBR it worked to do a room right across the bridge from the pool/food court. It was a nice walk across the bridge and we were there. At POR, the same...we asked for one of the mansion rooms right across the river. At CSR, we asked for Casitas 4 (got Casitas 5). It was right half way from the pool and Pepper Market and very close to the first bus stop(bus stop #2). The quiet pool by Casitas 4 was really nice. It was kind of a tie with POR and CSR for me. I think CSR has a slight edge because of the duvet covers on beds, actually sliding doors instead of curtains in the bathroom and the fitness center. Also the pool and hot tub there were really nice IMO. The main disadvantage of CSR is that the main pool is not by the main food court. It was a beautiful resort, especially at night. We do so much walking in the parks, I guess we don't mind a little more walking at the resort. Especially since they are all so pretty.

I've never stayed at CBR, but I have stayed at POFQ and CSR.

For CSR we personally did not find the resort too spread out. We enjoy taking walks though so we loved the walk from the room to the food court. I also thought the landscaping in Ranchos was the prettiest although it seemed to be the longest walk. We liked it anyway. I have to say we did not like the Pepper Market, the set-up was confusing to us and we did not care for the food. The CMs were great though, and food is so subjective.

POFQ, while we felt the grounds were maybe a tad prettier at CSR, we thought POFQ was more charming. We just found this resort more relaxing and simply like it a little more. My recommendation would be POFQ, especially since you like POR.

We have stay at all three. Here is our list of pro/cons. We go in September and have small children, if that helps. :)

CBR
-> Pros - fun water place for kids, 0 entry pool
-> Cons - # of bus stop (7, i think), spread out

CSR
-> Pros - less bus stops (4), decor was our favorite
-> Cons - spread out, funky food court (at it was when we went 4 years ago)

POFQ
-> Pros - MUCH smaller size, 1 bus stop (altho sometimes shares with POR), able to walk to POR to use their food court / pool, boat to DTD
-> Cons - smaller food court

Good luck with your choice!

We  CBR! I understand that people complain about it being spread out but we always request a building right over the bridge and never had a problem.

Since you haven't stayed at CSR, I vote to stay here. That's because it is the only Moderate resort that has a fitness center and spa, as well as some type of water boat rentals. So, CSR has some things that are only offered at the deluxe resorts. All buildings surround that Lake, and it is very pretty in the evening.

The room we were in at CSR didn't have a table and chairs, it had a desk instead. I don't know if that's true of all the rooms or only certain categories. We booked a standard room.

Wow thank you so much everyone!!! I really appreciate it! I actually think you all have made my decision even harder. I wish I could stay at every resort! I think this might be my last trip for at least a couple of years though so I have to try and find the right one for us. I think, from reading this, CBR might be out. I have a very kicky little seven year old sleeping with me, and the double beds aren't as appealing. So, now it's between CSR and POFQ. I'll have to take some time to really read up on each of them. Thank you all! You've given me so much to think about!
