DH has been studying the different resorts and really seems to like this one.

I started a PTR but we can't say officially until the package rates come out.

We would pay for preferred but hope for preferred/king. Maybe we will get pixie dusted!

We were there in May/June of this year and had no problems with mold or damp rooms (we had three rooms).

Can't have this lovely thread sinking to the bottom of page 2. My trip is only 52 days away.

I am so ready for this trip. I have to get a wisdom tooth pulled tomorrow. Can I go to Disney instead?

I am so looking forward to settling in to one of those Hammocks. I've already picked out things I want to try from the counter service restaurant and I am determined to grab a snack with the kids and check out at least one movie night. Hurry up and get here August!

Good luck with the tooth today. When do they post the movie schedule? Is that something we can find online?

We were there June 5-14 and didn't have any problems with this. We have friends who were there the week before, and they didn't either.

Well my wisdom tooth is gone. It hurt but not too badly so bring on the Disney trip. Only 51 days to go!!!

I think you can get a damp/moldy room anywhere in Florida. Our second stay at CSR we had a pretty bad room. It was only for one night so I put up with it. This was also right after the room rehab

Does anyone know the options given when doing online check in? Am I better off making a more specific request or just going with the online check in system. I'd like to be close to OPR and first floor. And can't afford to upgrade to prefered.

IIRC the online choices are limited to what's on a menu. I think I'd phone well ahead of arrival and make my specific requests, in order of importance to me.

Just wondering: If you are paying the extra do you get to pick which village you are in or do you just get either Martinique or Trinidad North?

I don't think it matters to us either way but I was just curious. We stayed at CBR back in 2006 and we booked reservations to Jamaica and we were disappointed when we checked in that we were actually in Barbados. We decided to avoid that this time and just pay the extra to get the preferred buildings.

The resort is lovely but none of us enjoyed the looonnnggg walk around the lake to get to the food court so this time we would rather be closer to it.

We stayed at CBR in may 2013 and sept 2012. We were in Martinique last sept. we paid for a preferred room both times, definitely worth it. We requested Martinique in May and got it. You can request a specific area, but it won't be guaranteed. There are so many buildings in both, so I wouldn't think it would be a problem.

If you book preferred, you will be in the village of Martinique or Trinidad North. There are several buildings in Martinique but the preferred are Bldgs. 26, 25 and 24. All buildings in Trinidad North are preferred.

I forgot to copy it before I closed it, but in general she said that it was being changed because of AoA. Now that there are Nemo rooms there they don't need a redundant theme at CBR. She also said they wanted the rooms at CBR to look clean and fresh, whatever that means.

Thanks for the update. I think that's great, I can imagine a breezy white theme going well with the Caribbean.

When I asked while chatting they said there was nothing in the refurbishment section of the site about the changeover at all, so they couldn't give me any information. The CM I chatted with mostly knew about the change from people who had been at CBR recently since there is nothing in the system about it. So I can't help with a time frame.

I'm thinking along those same lines. Even though there's been no official confirmation of room change-overs, there are the two "mock" rooms that someone posted pictures of.

Where abouts can the pictures of the two "mock" rooms be found?
