So...GW GV? BLV? Or is it worth the extra to do CL?

We are staying at the CR for the first time in December and chose the tower. I was deciding between a tower TPV and BLV CL and we decided to go with CL. I can't speak for CR CL since we've never stayed there, but CL at other resorts has been worth it for us. We love having the lounge to sit and relax in and the view from Atrium Club lounge is supposed to be amazing. If CL is doable, I'd give it a try :).

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY...

Does anyone know the location or room numbers of Hospitality Suites in the Garden Wing? Just trying to figure out the kind of walk we will have to get the the club lounges. Thanks

I replied to you a couple of days ago that I didn't know the room number, but that at least one HS is located right next to the covered walkway which is as close as you can get to CR. I don't know though if there's more than one, like with the Deluxe rooms which there are 3. Even the furthest room from CR would only be a couple of minutes further than the closest room. But even so, CL rooms that aren't located on CL floors can seem very far away and less convenient. Maybe you could request to be in the HS closest to the CR, but you would still have to go to the elevator up to the 12th floor.

Livin the dream!

This is my dream vacation! If only I could talk DH into a split stay :(

Did you do room only discount? I was told that to do free dining it isn't worth it for split stay but for room only it is.

I am thinking of booking next week!!!

Mickeynut1...your trip sounds awesome! If we don't get BLT thru points then I am trying my best to convince DH to do split stay between CR and poly as I just cannot decide! Unless there is construction at gch then it will be all CR!

Thanks...I'm excited :goodvibes. I understand about your DH not wanting to do a split stay. We did a 2/4 split once and it just wasn't worth it for us. The first 2 nights went by so fast that we were checking into the 2nd resort before we knew it. Then once we were just feeling settled at the 2nd resort, it was time to pack up and fly home :(. Split stays work for some people no matter how many nights they stay, but for us, it wasn't worth it for such a short trip (but that's just US). I'm a little worried about how this next trip will go with so much moving around, but I think it will be worth it since I'll get to experience DCL as well as 2 other CLs at WDW. With that said, you might just love a split stay (if you can convince your DH ;)).

If we do room only discount..I am really leaning towards split stay! (DH will do whatever makes me happy in the end :)
If there is free dining it will be one resort to keep it cheaper...I just honestly cannot decide!!

have you booked your resorts yet or still waiting?

I think a split stay is a great idea if you do RO discount....that way you won't have to decide between the two ;). But I agree with you for FD, it is cheaper not to split since tickets have to be purchased with each resort. You can save one set of tickets for a future trip, but it does add extra cost to this trip and if FD is offered the next time you go, you're still in the same situation of needing tickets to take advantage of FD.

I have not booked yet, but I am thinking of booking this weekend. I guess I'm not in a big hurry to give Disney my money being our nights prior to the cruise is peak season and our nights after are holiday :faint:.....but I am getting close :).

I don't blame you!!! I was thinking of booking next week so I can pay it off over the year but think I will just put it in seperate account so disney doesn't have my money!:)

I'm looking at a split with 4 nights at CBR in a pirate room (package deal with tickets and dining) then RO at CR for 3 nights (and pay OOP for meals)...just not sure yet...or if I should just stick with CBR (and have 8 nights instead)...

Maybe it has changed, but when I originally booked the King-room category on tower club level in Dec 2010, I was able to add the 30 percent room-only discount that was offered. But I switched because of the design of the room.
That's good to know, although we would need two queens, but since you had a discount, it gives me hope.

My sources tell me we will hear by the end of the month, and that the discounts will very likely remain the same. :goodvibes. Hold tight. :thumbsup2
:thumbsup2

I've never stayed at the Contemporary but would like to go there early next year. Main thing I want to know is about the room -- do they offer a decent chair for sitting? Last time I went to Disney we stayed at Coronado Springs, and the one office like chair had literally no back support. It was HORRIBLE. One of those director type chairs with a flat leather sling across the back. I need a chair with back support as I have 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, MS and more problems. Anybody recently visited and can comment on any place to sit in the room. I cannot sit on a bed with a pillow behind my back either so that is a no go. Thanks
Besides the daybed that was mentioned, there is only one other office chair which is pictured in the photo that Katie posted today:

If I recall correctly, it does adjust up and down. There are also two chairs out on the balcony.

I just booked room only at BLT for 2/21 - 3/1!!! I did room only and kind of wanted to :crazy2: at the deposit but I'm really hoping for some kind of discount. We've always had a discount in feb so I guess we'll see. Of course I may have to tweak my dates a bit but I hope not!
I hope you get to apply a discount soon.

I'll add you to the Log-orail, Katie.

Aren't the new rooms lovely?

Great photo! Did you take that? If so, I'd like to add it to the first page, if I have room.
