That's what our CL stays last year and this year were on. We wouldn't do CL without it. Hoping to book CR Atrium CL for next August with 40% off. ::yes:::worship:

Sadly I think we have seen the last of 40% RO discounts... There has been not one 40 % GP or personal PIN this yr..

ASMU/POR Dec 16-22, 2012 & CR Sept 8-15, 2013

Which is best club level at CR, is it worth it for two young kids? I am thinking it might be good for grandparents.
The Tower Club level on the 14th floor is mostly suites and I've never seen a discount for even the non-suite rooms. It is much less crowded up there which is an advantage. Also, if you book Tower Club, you have access to both CL lounges. Most guests who don't need a suite book Atrium Club.

Kids usually love CL because they have access to little treats throughout the day and they have an amazing view of MK and Wishes every evening.

We're not sure yet, but hopefully another trip to WDW is in our not-too-distant future!

Last year, the military discount was renewed in August. I've really gotten used to that discount and wonder what will happen this year with it.

I'm back...thinking of a split stay...CBR (pirate room) for 4 nights then CR (possibly CL?) for 3 nights.

If you're not eligible for the mil. rate, the AP rates are the next best thing.

Maybe it has changed, but when I originally booked the King-room category on tower club level in Dec 2010, I was able to add the 30 percent room-only discount that was offered. But I switched because of the design of the room.

I know!! And if I do the split, do I just do Garden Wing, a Tower room (TPV is available) or CL (BLV)??? ACK!! I can't decide! :-)

I am thinking of trying cr for our next trip for the whole week or split stay with poly and am debating exactly same options as you! Lol

Hope someone gives you reasons why one is better than the other! :)

Playing with the numbers and it worked out the same price minus a few dollars for both free dining and room only discount?!? is that normal?!

We always stay deluxe and I have found that to be the case sometimes, depending on what time of year we go as well as what the room only discount is that is being offered at the time ;).

We have only stayed at the poly and loved it which is part of why I am hesitant to stay elsewhere :)

I agree that it is a little scary taking the leap and trying a new resort when you just love the first one you stay at, but we have stayed at Poly, GF, WL, AKL, and BC and have loved every single one for different reasons :goodvibes. The Poly will always be our favorite, but we would have no problem going back to any of them (and, even though the CR has never appealed to me as far as theme/decor, I am excited to try it in December ::yes::).

We booked poly for 30% off this year and I know now it is only 20% off so if that is the case we will do a week straight at CR instead of split stay!

I have found the Poly to be on the lower end of discounts lately :(.

I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all the BLT and CR experts on this board. My family just finished a stay at BLT, and all the advice was really helpful in planning our first trip to WDW. The 1-BR villa was just right for our family of 5, the location was perfect, and having a washer/dryer handy was so convenient! I didn't think we would use the kitchen much, but we ended up ordering breakfast and snack foods delivered from Garden Grocer, and their service was excellent. Our kids also enjoyed doing some fun activities in the Community Hall, and there was never a long line at the pool's waterslide. We just wished we could've stayed longer. It was a great trip, and we can't wait to stay at BLT again!

Glad you had a great trip :goodvibes.

With a TPV you can also see Expedition Everest in the far distance as well as Tower of Terror and the Sean and Dolphin. It's not like the closer images of the monorail and castle but still exciting. At least you can see them from 12th floor. It's like being on top of the world!!!

I never knew this.....thanks for sharing that information :).

I can't speak for CR CL as we've never stayed there, but CL in general is worth it for us. Everyone is different, but we especially love having a lounge to go to. The snacks/drinks are a nice perk, but we stay more for the extra space of the lounge than anything else.

I am super excited!! I just got off the phone with my mil and she said we can use her points to try to get a place at BLT for our stay!!! :cheer2:

I know she will only be able to book at 7 months out because she is using another point system to do so. How hard will it be to get a 2 bedroom at that time for all of us to stay in??

I am pumped. :cheer2::cheer2:

Could be difficult. If she is going through RCI, she needs to check the site fairly often.

She is going through intrawest which is under rci. I know there are periods where there is an imbalance and they cant book at dvc at all! am hoping because we are going in september when it is slower it will be easier!? or is that wishful thinking??

My sources tell me we will hear by the end of the month, and that the discounts will very likely remain the same. :goodvibes. Hold tight. :thumbsup2

Ahh! Nice when my mom goes with us we use the military discount!

It's such a nice perk for Disney to offer. We are super grateful for it. :goodvibes

I just want word on next years...supposed to be announced by end of the month so I can book!! I want Atrium Club sooooooo bad!!!

I've never stayed at the Contemporary but would like to go there early next year. Main thing I want to know is about the room -- do they offer a decent chair for sitting? Last time I went to Disney we stayed at Coronado Springs, and the one office like chair had literally no back support. It was HORRIBLE. One of those director type chairs with a flat leather sling across the back. I need a chair with back support as I have 3 herniated discs, spinal stenosis, MS and more problems. Anybody recently visited and can comment on any place to sit in the room. I cannot sit on a bed with a pillow behind my back either so that is a no go. Thanks

There is a day bed, which when not made into a bed is a very comfortable couch (imho). There's also one, maybe two straight chairs (more like a dining room chair) at the table.

I just booked room only at BLT for 2/21 - 3/1!!! I did room only and kind of wanted to :crazy2: at the deposit but I'm really hoping for some kind of discount. We've always had a discount in feb so I guess we'll see. Of course I may have to tweak my dates a bit but I hope not!
