We are going on the August 3rd cruise to the Western Caribbean and was wondering which port is the the best for the Swimming with the Dolphins excursion (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya or Cozumel). We are taking our 3 children ages 13, 11 & 8. Thanks!

We did the dolphin swim at Dolphin Cove (GC) in May. We booked directly with Dolphin Cove. DD11 and DS10 really enjoyed the swim. I would recommend them.

We did the Dophin trainer for a day at Cozumel at Dolphinaris. It was pricey but amazing.. all day, lots of close up interation and a beautiful location. (Budget extra money for photos because you will want some)

They had us prepare food for the dolphins which included 'fish taco's'...(shoving one dead fish into ANOTHER dead fish and then feeding them to the dolphin)

I haven't had a fish taco since.

LOVED Dolphinaris in Cozumel! Our dds were 7 & 10, and had a BLAST! We did the "push, pull, & swim" excursion through DCL.

We have booked with Dolphin Cove in GC for this August. Since you can book directly with them the price is significantly lower than booking with Disney. We got a group together on our FB group and got a group rate of $45 pp for the Dolphin Swim (including transportation) We had friends use this company last year and they loved it.

Just off the Fantasy Saturday. We did the extreme dolphin in Grand Cayman through Disney. It was a great experience, just like described on the DCL excursion website n

There were 3 of us and they wanted $120 for just the photo CD or $170 for the CD plus prints. I was able to talk them down to $90 for the CD only.

A few years ago we did Chankanaab in Cozumel, it was beautiful there, the grounds and the pools. We loved swimming with the dolphins, it was awesome!!

I haven't done a cruise yet so don't know about the other locations, but we had a fantastic time at Dolphin Discovery in Grand Cayman 2 years ago. Seriously some of the best memories of my life (and I'm terrified of sea life!), plus we got free entry into the Turtle Farm with our purchase (though we had to upgrade to be able to swim with the sea turtles, but it wasn't much and we felt it was worth it). It's not that far from the cruise ports, I think closer than Cove but then I think Cove may come with Sting-ray City, which is also well worth doing (if time permits).

We did Cozumel Dolphinarius, partly because we had other things we wanted to do at the other ports (GC Turtle Farm, etc), my wife was on the fence about it but her and daughter (12) loved it. those two went and got just the '3 pack' of photos, I think it was. also heard good things about Chakkanaab.

We were on the Fantasy June 8th, Western itinerary. We did the Dolphin Swim at Costa Maya. We had three girls who were 14, 13 & 13. We all loved it! You walk to the dolphin area from the ship.

I liked that my husband & sister who wanted to observe didn't have to pay to watch. In addition, they were able to take pictures & videos of our swim.

We would definitely do it again!

Can you share with us how you book with Dolphin Cove directly? There are two many results when I Google it.
And also how many do we need to become a "group"?

We loved Dolphinaris in Cozumel. Our daughter was 11, and she had a great time. We did Stingray City in Grand Cayman, and that was also an amazing experience.
