Sunscreen while at SAB??????????

Ok so during our stay at the Yacht Club in August we will be using SAB a lot. Of course!:thumbsup2 For all you moms out there, have you used the spray on type of sunblock? Does it work well? I thought that type would be easier to take and just spray on there at SAB. We will also be going to Typhoon Lagoon as well.

Our Disney sunblock process for every day (not just pool/waterpark days):

* in the morning take the time to rub in a good quality sunblock lotion, including ears, back of neck, top of feet and face

* follow up with spray during day - I like the neutrogena

I would probably rub in more lotion at our lunch break just to ensure maximum coverage.

Happy planning!

If you get burned easily, you'll probably want something with zinc oxide in it and you can't get that in a spray. You could use a lotion before you get into the water and supplement that with a spray every hour or so.

I just saw on GMA that a family of four could easily go through an entire bottle of sunscreen in two hours if they applied it correctly.

We use spray sunscreen all the time and I burn VERY easily. Make sure you spray it on heavily! We also use cream for the face. My kids like to use a stick. For 5 of us, we go through a can in two days.

This is what we do also. I burn very easily and have a history of melanoma so we sunblock a lot. We also take an assortment of kinds - lotion with zinc oxide, face lotion, spray and a stick for faces. Of course my kids hate getting it put on... but at least not that they're older they sort of stay put while I do it.

Same here! Love the spray, use it all the time, not just at Disney. I even buy the Target brand and it works well.

There are sprays available with Zinc oxide. Here's a couple:

I also do a major lotion application on the whole family before we leave the resort, and then use sprays, sticks, and wipes while at the park. The wipes are great for reapplying on the face. Last year I used the Supergoop wipes with Zinc, but haven't been able to find them this year.

My kids prefer the spray on, and we've never had issues with sunburn from park days or days at SAB. I do make them reapply about halfway through the day, despite their whining about it. Most often we come home from vacation and don't have tans to prove we were there:).
